I received a sample from Juil for the sole purpose of this review

Juil is one of those companies that's totally unique. They have shoes that connect you with the earth and make it as if you're walking barefoot. 

We all know that walking barefoot is how our body is meant to walk, but we also know that we need shoes to protect our feet from dangers out there. So that's where Juil comes in. They make shoes that have grounding connectors that make your feet 'touch' the ground. 

I received the Hera in Gold

These shoes are pretty amazing. They are a nice flip flop, but are more sturdy than the cheapies you find in the store. Definitely better for your feet in that aspect. But the fact that they ground you to the earth is just amazing.

Now I can't say that I feel any different since wearing these shoes, but I know that in general touching the earth with your feet is amazing! I love being barefoot so at least when wearing these I can feel like I'm one with the Earth again, while still protecting my feet from debris.

The shoes cleanse your body of stress and toxins in the form of free radicals. Studies have shown that having a direct connection with the Earth is beneficial to our health.
I love walking in the grass barefoot, don't you? I hardly ever wear shoes if I'm just going out to the yard. I prefer being barefoot all the way. I water my plants, pick my produce and do so many other things barefoot outside (and inside).
I know a lot of people who wear shoes all day every day, even inside the house and that's just not me. You'll never see me wearing shoes in the house unless I'm bringing groceries in and going back out. I just hate shoes. But when I HAVE to wear shoes, the Juil allow me to still have that connection!

They have a lot of other styles, including some clogs which are perfect for fall/winter.
