With Avery I wasn't concerned about plastic toys and chemicals. I know not a great thing to admit, but it wasn't on my mind. I was a young mother, we were struggling financially and it just wasn't on my mind.
I'm so glad that I'm more conscious of things these days. I try and go as natural as I can in a lot of things.
Yes Emerson uses some of Avery's old toys, but I try and buy wood as much as possible.
Bannor Toys is one of those wonderful stores that offers only natural toys for your children.
We received a Tree Rattle for review. We got it in the Walnut wood with colorful beads.
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Bannor Toys in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Bannor Toys for allowing me to review this product and for offering a giveaway
No action shots though!!! But I love this rattle. It's so simple, but simple is what babies and children gravitate towards. Emerson loves this new rattle. It does make noise and rattle when the beads hit against each other, but it's not overly annoying like some rattles. It's not that loud, but enough to grab baby's attention.
It's finished with beeswax and flaxseed oil, so it has a nice soft finish over it. That finish hasn't worn down in the month we've had this rattle. It's still nice and smooth. Nothing rough about it.
I love that all their toys are handmade. I love that I'm supporting putting food on a family's table or buying dance lessons for their child as opposed to buying a CEO's 3rd lake house :)
I will buy handmade as much as possible in the future. It really is best, the quality is just as great and it's supporting more important things.
The quality of the rattle is great! The only part that is separate is the rod in the middle and the beads and let me tell you, that rod is in there WELL! I'm assuming it's glued in there quite well with a non toxic glue. So it's extremely safe and it's not going to come apart!
They also offer these wonderful ball rattles
They also carry things like blocks, maple teethers and toy stackers
Price: These wooden rattles are $14 and so worth it!
