Fuzzibunz Review

With Avery I had never tried Fuzzibunz diapers. I'm not sure why, I just never did.
With Emerson my FAVORITE Newborn Diaper was the Perfect Size in an XS. Then he grew out of those and we started using the size Small and also the One Size diaper, which fit great from even 8 pounds. It truly is a one size diaper.

I contacted Fuzzibunz and they offered to let me review the Elite diaper in the Kumquat color!

 Extra elastic is included
 Small and Large Minky inserts!
 Inside is fleece
 Big pocket opening
The legs and waist adjust with elastic and a button
 As small as it goes
On Emerson. It's a great fit!

I've already had to loosen up this diaper once as he's so chubby!

The differences between the original OS and the new Elite are these: Minky Inserts first of all. They are so soft and so amazing. What's great about them is you don't even need to stuff them inside the pocket. You can just lay them in the diaper. Secondly the leg elastic is contained inside the pocket now. It never used to be!

Overall it's an amazing diaper. I seriously want to buy more of those minky inserts!! Microfiber stinks (literally) it contains and holds in odors and it's just nasty to work with. Minky has the same absorbency and doesn't get stinky like microfiber!!

The diaper washes great, dries great and the inserts dry really fast. Much faster than even my microfiber inserts dry. It has a great fit which is customizable. The best part is each leg can adjust differently so if your baby has a leg that's chunkier, this is easy to adjust it to that. AND the waist adjusts separately.

The great thing is there's no rise snaps so it's not as bulky with a lot of extra material. And there are more settings size wise for your baby.
The hip snaps are amazing too. It allows you to make the waist tighter than the thighs for the perfect fit!

Right now in our rotation we have 2 Fuzzibunz size Smalls in Watermelon and Blueberry and 2 OS diapers a Buttercream Original OS and the Kumquat Elite OS. I also have an Apple Green size small on the way!

They are great diapers and I would truly recommend them to anyone!

Price: Both the Original OS and the Elite OS are $19.99 each!

Overall: *****

Bee-Bop Baby Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Bee-Bop Baby makes wonderful fitted diapers! And we received one!!
She included a wonderful Thank You note that was thanking me for reviewing her diaper! I love a great company!
 We received a space print!
Smallest setting
Organic Bamboo Velour inside! SO SOFT!!
 Snap out, Double layered soaker!

 Largest Setting
There are only 2 snap down rise settings. and this diaper claims 10-32 pounds. I definitely believe the 32. It gets BIG.

But I wouldn't really say 10 pounds. Even now at 12 pounds this diaper is lose around Emerson's thighs. THANKFULLY since it's a fitted it needs a waterproof cover so nothing leaks out. It is a bulky diaper, I can't fit his small covers around this. I definitely need to use a OS cover over this diaper to fit it all in, but no complaints really!

It's so soft, a cute fabric and it does fit him pretty good. Just lose around the thighs and I haven't noticed any leaks or compression to the outside of the diaper as of yet. We've used it quite a few times now. No issues thus far! It has crossover tabs to fit skinny waist babies which is fantastic!

And it washes up great. The velour is as soft as the day we got it and the fabric hasn't shrunk and is n't faded at all! Overall it's a great diaper!
I also LOVE this one!
Price: $22! This is fairly reasonable. They are homemade which is so much better than commercial! You know the money is putting dinner on a family's table and not supporting China or companies that pay people $.40 an hour to make something.

Sandbox Lane Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

When Emerson was first born my favorite cloth diaper was the Fuzzibunz XSmall. It had the perfect fit and was just a great diaper. It was absorbent enough but wasn't bulky. So at that point I was VERY thankful that I had received a Small Fuzzibunz in Blueberry from Sandbox Lane.

Now that Emerson has outgrown the XS, he's wearing this small and it's been just as good!

6 snap settings on top and 4 for each hip!
 Comes with microfiber insert
 Wide pocket opening
He needs the hip snap all the way tight in order for there to be no leg gaps. That's why it looks funny on top!
 Nice and tight!
These pictures were taken a few days ago... So he was 11.5 pounds (ish). I don't think these would start fitting at 7.
The XS claims 4-12. This is fairly accurate. They still fit him, but I sold them off because the rise was getting short and they weren't absorbent enough for us anymore.
So I switched to the small right around 10 pounds (when I gave up the XS). They fit, but there was a slight leg gap. I wish I would've tried this diaper when he was born. BUT he's grown so fast I didn't have time to!
He's almost 12 pounds already at 6 weeks old!!

The diaper fits great now though. It claims to fit up to 18 pounds. Based on how the XS fit, I would say probably more like 16. The great news is I've heard from MANY that their baby never needed the size large. Just up through Medium (15-30 pounds)
So honestly. If you're expecting a 7+ pound baby. I would skip the XS. They were a great fit and a favorite of ours, but they only lasted about 3 weeks. So I would skip them all together.

I will be purchasing more Smalls and then eventually a few mediums.

The diaper washes up good. I don't have any staining with any of my fuzzibunz diapers (including the XS that I sold). The inserts are microfiber but so far I have no stink issues. I wash every 3 days.

Sandbox Lane has lots of other items as well. She carries Drybees Diapers, GroVia, Econobum and Flip (and more). They also carry Baby Clothing, Toys, Swaddle Blankets, breast pads and lots more!

Price: The Fuzzibunz Small is $17.95

Fancy Cloth Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

We are officially out of all newborn diapers!! But I have one more Newborn Review to write for you guys!
Fancy Cloth is a wonderful, handmade Etsy company that makes diapers and prefolds.

We received one of her XS/S AI2 diapers. We received it in the Olive Green color
Inside is a suedecloth inner with an organic insert.
LOVE that the insert is like this because it makes drying time MUCH faster!
 Tag and snap
Snap down umbilical and 3 snap options on each side
He was about 9.5 pounds here.
Pretty trim in the crotch wise. Previously he had on a OS diaper which has a lot more coverage.
And it's very trim thickness wise as well! So skinny!
This diaper was awesome. It still fits him around the waist, but not in the thighs. He's almost 12 pounds now. Her diapers claim 6-14. They will definitely fit as small as 6... But I just can't get 14 pounds out of them. In the waist they were one looser than they are in the above picture. One side would have 2 sets of snaps showing and the other 1 set. So not much looser. But the thighs just won't fit him anymore, the rise would need to be higher with larger leg holes.

I love the organic insert. It's not microfiber so it doesn't hold in the stinks. It's easy to wash and fast to dry. This diaper was overall awesome and I'll probably buy one of her Hemp Fitteds. I just overall really loved it. I wish she made a OS AI2 though.

They come in a few different colors.

Price: $15.95!

MAM Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

MAM is a name that parents can trust. It's been around since 1976 and it started with the pacifier. Now it's one of the brands they give to baby's in the hospital. It was the one they gave us with Avery.

Been around for a long time and we all know babies like their products, so I contacted them.
I was so pleased when I opened my package from MAM and saw this...

Yes, That would be 8 products we received!
I didn't know what I was getting. Told them I had a boy and that's what they sent. I was very pleased to get this package.

I had been really wanting to try their Anti Colic Bottle. So I'm very glad I received one of these. It has a few extra parts, but nothing that can't be handled! On the bottom, the ventilated base unscrews and inside is a ring. Since the base is ventilated it prevents bubbles in the bottle, which in turn prevents colic. The ring just prevents the liquid from seeping through!
We love this bottle. The nipple isn't round. It's flat on 2 sides. It's supposed to be a good transition between mom and MAM and it does seem to work and keep the bubbles down. It is a bit of a slower flow then we're used to though so we use it during the day. At night his feedings would be too long for my liking :) But I like that it's slower because that also prevents the bubbles and him taking in too much air.

Next we received the MAM Start Pacifier. It's good for 0+ months. Emerson likes this. It isn't his favorite pacifier (which is natural rubber), but he does take to it nicely. He does take a pacifier. Avery never did!

Then we got MAM Night Pacifiers good for 2+ months. They are glow in the dark so they're easy to find in the middle of the night! These are nice, but they are a bit bigger around. They would probably work now that he's 5.5 weeks old, but when we got them at around 3 weeks they wouldn't have worked for him.

Next was MAM love and Affection pacifiers also for 2+ months. One says I Love Daddy and the other says Adorable! Same thing with the Night, they are a bit big so we haven't used them yet!

Next up, MAM Twist Clip. This is neat. It doesn't just snap closed like a lot of clips do. It twists close. It prevents little fingers from getting pinched in there easily.

Next up, Oral Care Rabbit. He's so cute! He's a finger puppet basically. The ears are where your fingers go in and then you can brush baby's gums. It's a great way to get them used to having their mouth brushed.

Starter and Clip which is a teether, but it has the clip attached to it, so they don't lose it! This will come in handy in a few months I'm sure.

And lastly we received the Bite and Brush. Which again will come in handy in a few months. It's a teether, but one side has a little toothbrush with soft bristles on it.
Most of these items come in Blue, Green and Pink. The Oral Care Rabbit is just Blue and Pink.
But they have them in different genders and to suit ones personal taste!

Price: Reasonable! 3 pack of Anti Colic bottles is $11.04 on Target.com for the 8oz size. Oral care Rabbit is about $6. 2 pack of  night pacifiers are $6! All reasonable and competitive.

Overall: ***** I'm so happy with the items they sent!

My big Boy!

Emerson is such a big boy now. I can't believe how fast he's growing!

He's 11-11.5 pounds!!! EEK!! He has gained 4 pounds in 5 weeks. Our scale says 11.5, but that was with a diaper and outfit on, so somewhere in the middle there.
5 weeks old today!
Saturday at 1 month!
Avery is such a big helper. Sometimes she just gets in the way, but any time he even whimpers she runs and tries to give him a pacifier, or his bottle. She wipes his mouth when he spits up. She gets me diapers and picks his out for him all the time. She puts on his socks and covers him with a blanket. She's just so good with him!

When he cries and she can't figure out why, she'll rub his little head and 'shh' him! It's so ADORABLE!!!
They play together for about an hour every morning. He lays on the Rainforest playmat and she shakes his toys for him. It allows me to get dishes or laundry done. Bottles washed, pump etc. I can get stuff done!!

It's been an adjustment going from 1-2, but really it's not that bad! He's been a fairly content baby. He likes to be held a lot, but I'm so glad I have a wrap, it still lets me get stuff done. Other than that, he's content.

He sleeps 4-4.5 hour stretches at night. We have finally gotten him to sleep in his bassinet for half the night! So he's not always on my chest at night!

Everything has been going good! Except me! I still have 12 pounds to lose (BOO)...
But I look pretty good and I'm fitting in half my pre preg jeans!! I'm going to start doing 30 Day Shred and Shed 5 fast next week after I get the all clear from my dr. so hopefully that lets me take off those last 10+ pounds.

Little Boppers Rveiew & Giveaway *CLOSED*

We're back to handmade items again! Little Boppers makes wonderful handmade cloth diapers and covers.

We received a size Medium Space fitted diaper and she threw in a cloth wipe as well

 Double soaker
Terry wipe. Other side is flannel.
This is a size medium. Claims to start fitting at 10 pounds and I agree.
Emerson was about 10.5 here!
 Perfect fit!
This fitted is SO trim. It's a cotton knit on the outside and the inside is velour. It's so soft. And again very trim. It fits him perfectly too.
But It will definitely last a while. Medium says 10-25 pounds. I believe it. It depends on the shape of your baby too!!

Love the print of the diaper too.
Diaper washes well. It has been prepped 3 times and now washed twice and It hasn't faded at all. I'm sure it will over time, but not as of now! It's still super soft too!

It's VERY absorbent. Emerson is a super soaker. He will hold it for 2 hours and then let it all go. Most diapers end up leaking, but this combined with a cover is the PERFECT combination. No leaks and it's super absorbent.

Code MFTFeb2012 is good for 10% off through the month of February at LittleBoppers.com , Little Boppers Hyeancart or Little Boppers Etsy

Price: Her Medium fitted is $21.75. She has OS fitted from 7-40 pounds as well and those are $29.25 and she also has AI2s and those are $33 for a OS.
