The 3 Benefits That Come with Apartment Living!

It seems to be the American Dream to have a big house with a big yard and a white picket fence. The reality is that not everybody wants to live that way. Some people would rather live in some other type of housing. There is the tiny house movement that is taking the world by storm, for instance.

You don’t need to go that extreme if you’d rather not live in a big house. Apartment living is a fantastic situation for millions of people. There are loads of benefits when it comes to living in an apartment. In this article, we will go over several reasons that you may want to live in a condo.

1 - Centrally located

In general, when you live in an apartment, you will be close to the center of the city. This location brings a lot of different benefits on its own. For instance, if you work in the city then you essentially have no commute. Instead of living in the suburbs where you have to take over an hour each way to get to and from work, you can usually walk, take the metro, or a bus to work.

Besides the convenience of having no commute, you are also located close to many amenities. If you like going to coffee shops, then you are likely a close walk to one. Those that love culture will also have easy access to theater, concerts, and museums. You can easily go take in some cultural event on a whim due to your proximity to these things.

There’s a reason this NYC home builder is busy building condos in the city and not big houses in the suburbs. There is a growing demand for city living situations.

2 - Maintenance

Houses come with a lot of maintenance. That’s part of the deal. You will be doing plenty of repairs on your roof, for example. There will also be landscaping to deal with such as mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges. There will always be something to occupy your weekends.

When you have an apartment, there is very little maintenance to do. There is usually a maintenance company that handles the upkeep of the exterior of the building. They do things like trimming the bushes and any other greenery on the property.

You’ll also never need to worry about a leaky roof as this is covered by the building maintenance. If there is a problem with the building structure, it is paid for out of the condo fees that everybody pays.

3 - It’s more social

Many apartment buildings have areas where you can meet the other residents of the building so there is a social atmosphere involved. Laundry rooms are a great way to meet the other residents and get to know people.

Some buildings even have a community room with an entertainment center where people can gather to socialize after work. Many also have a gym as part of the deal so you can meet people when you go to work out.
