2016 Kia Sorento SXL AWD

I've driven the 2014 Kia Sorento in November 2014, but I was excited to test out the new 2016 and see the updated features. And wow are there a lot! You can see my previous review here.

With an MPG of 19/25 the 2016 Kia Sorento is the way to go for a crossover.

For my test drive I received the 2016 Kia Sorento SXL All Wheel Drive.
Living here in MI, it's important to have the all wheel drive with the harsh winters we have.

The steering wheel has mounted controls to make driving easier.

This Sorento has Advanced Smart Cruise Control which maintains a safe distance between you and the car ahead and will slow your speed to match the person in front of you. This has quickly become my favorite feature on any vehicle I test and hope it becomes factory standard very soon, as the rear back up camera has.

 Very sleek dashboard
I loved the screen and center console area. Very sleek and clean looking with all the features you may be looking for, like heated seats, dual climate, touch screen and more.
SiriusXM audio system, Infinity Surround Sound, Rear Camera display and more make this car a dream to drive!
Plenty of leg room in the front.
This Kia Sorento also offered cooled seats!
The rear seat is a 3 seater with the middle seat coming down to access the trunk.
This Sorento that I received was a 5 seater which left for a HUGE trunk! But they also have a 7 seat option with 2 seats in the third row as well.
Lots of leg room in the rear as well!
For the access to the trunk (or third row if it is available)
Look at all that space!! But in case that wasn't enough...
There are storage compartments underneath as well!
And you can still fold the 2nd row down for even more room. Perfect for traveling, moving, sports or bringing pets with you

Another one of my favorite features, that I've so far only seen on the Kia. Is the Smart Welcome Lighting. When you approach the car with your smart key on you, the back of the door handle lights up, so it's easy to see the handle of your vehicle, the mirrors also flip out (they flip in when you lock the car). Just a nice welcoming touch.

Overall if you're looking for an affordable, fuel efficient crossover, then the Kia Sorento may be the right one for you. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody. It was a dream to drive and is really safe as well. It has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Advanced Airbag System and  a reinforced body to ensure you're safe on the road. It also features Electronic Stability Control to help keep you on course and Hill Start Assist Control to prevent it from rolling backwards if you stop on a steep hill.

With a retail price starting at $25,100 this vehicle is definitely affordable.
The model I received was $45,095 out the door.

Disclaimer, I received a Kia Sorento for a 1 week test drive. All opinions here are 100% my own and I was not compensated to write this post, other than receiving the vehicle.
