Mighty Leaf Review- Holiday Gift

I received a sample from Mighty Leaf for the sole purpose of this review

I worked with Mighty Leaf this summer on their cold tea and I love them so much!! It was really great and I loved all the tea flavors. So when I was contacted to try their new trio gift sets and mug I was excited to give it a try.

I received the Brew Top Mug and the Taste of the Tropics gift set.

Each bag is individually wrapped for freshness
The mug has a built in bag brewer. Here's how it works
You fold the tag in half on the tea bag
Then stick it up from the bottom into the mug lid

When your tea is done brewing you just pull up on the tag until you feel resistance and you can't pull anymore.
Then you can just drink your tea

This squeezes out all the tea from the bag, but also means you don't have to discard of it right away.

I however, have found that this system doesn't work very well. It works great for brewing, but when you go to drink the tea, air can't get in through that hole, so no liquid comes out. I have tried it twice now and that was my experience, BUT I just brew my tea and pull up on the bag so it drains it all and then I just discard of the tea bag. So it still works great for me! I just can't drink my tea while the bag is in the lid still.
The concept is great however.

The tea tastes wonderful and I don't care how it's brewed, it is still really good tea and perfectly delicious!

Price: Right now for Black Friday the gift sets are $21.50 down from $30 and the mug is $16.95

Overall: **** only because of the mug not working perfectly! I think they need to add another hole in the middle so air gets in and you can drink from the mug well. Otherwise, Mighty Leaf is a great quality company and their tea is really tasty.
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Mighty Leaf in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Mighty Leaf for allowing me to review this product

Such a neat idea! I agree with you, they need to add another hole, otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose of the mug!

I'd like to try this tea, and I'll stick to my old fashioned tea kettle! I esp love tea over the holidays!
