#CDLocal2me Gieaway Hop Sponsor Spotlight- The Great Lakes Natural Soap Company

I received a sample from Michigan Soap for the sole purpose of this review

TECHNICALLY this hop is supposed to be cloth diapers and related items. I couldn't find any in Michigan except one that said not right now! SO I went with other natural items! And the first up is the Great Lakes Natural Soap Company. I was so excited to come across this company. Obviously I'm in Michigan so finding a natural store so close to home is awesome! I love supporting small business people and they are definitely one of them!

I received a huge package that I was NO expecting! I got a Lotion, Foaming Hand Soap, Home Fragrance Jar and 3 pack of bar soap!

The lotion I got was Cottage Breezes. It smells like fresh washed laundry to me! A nice airy, cotton smell! I'm really impressed with the lotion, the smell is divine, but not overpowering. And the lotion rubs on really nice and smooth, isn't greasy and dries fast. Contains shea butter, aloe vera, and natural extracts of papaya and chamomile!
I received the Foaming Hand Soap in Mackinac Island Lilac Profusion. My favorite part about Spring/Summer is Lilacs! I have 2 different bushes in my back yard and when you open the door the smell just takes over you! I LOVE Lilacs, so I was super happy when they sent me this soap!

The foamer works perfectly and disperses the perfect amount to wash your hands with. Contains olive and coconut oils for a nice moisturizing wash that won't dry out your hands.

The Home Fragrance Jar I got is Mineral Salt Spa. It smells just like a spa should! Nice and clean with a hint of salt. It smells awesome!

The best part about their fragrance jar is the gel they use. When you notice the top losing it's color or scent, just wet the gel back down again and the smell comes right back. So it's good over and over again, but don't let them dry out too much or they'll lose scent completely.
I've had this about 3 weeks now and just now topped it off on the 14th! AWESOME scent that really lasts long! I have it in my kitchen, my house is open concept so it's hard to smell it outside the kitchen, but in the bathroom or laundry room it would be PERFECT!!
I do like the smell when I walk by it in my kitchen!

Last but certainly not least are the soaps! I received the Pomegranate Passion, fruit Slices and the Coconut Calendula Luffah Scrub.

The soaps are made with 6 vegetable oils, including shea butter, olive and coconut. Makes them very soft and smooth. They lather nicely and smell divine, but work well and keep your skin soft and supple! I've been loving the Pomegranate soap. It's my favorite!!!

All of the items smell great, are made with natural ingredients AND are affordable which is definitely the best way to go natural!

Price: The soaps are $6.95 each, but last a VERY long time! The Fragrance Jar is $9.95. Hand wash is $10.95. and the lotion is $16.95. Yes more pricey than your everyday stuff, but think how long those last you? Wouldn't you rather pay more for natural? I DO!!

Overall: **** Love the items!

These products all sound wonderful! The scents sound nice too. They sound like natural scents...not artificial. I'd love to try the Michigan Lake Sand Dunes scent soap. Thank you for the review!

I love the tops of their bar soap! Cold Process soap is a must for frequent hand washers like myself. Keeps your skin from drying out!

I love handmade soap - especially local handmade soap. Even though this one isn't local to me, the review is still helpful and gives me things to think about. Thanks!
