ABCmouse.com Review & Giveaway

I received a subscription from ABCmouse for the sole purpose of this review
Learning is very important for children. You are your child's first teacher, but sometimes we all need a little break. ABCmouse.com is a great online program meant for children 2-6 and there are many different levels that help your child along the way.

Each age/grade level has plenty of lessons in different areas of learning and each level is pretty much a full year of schooling. Your child goes along at their own pace and when they complete one level, they move onto the next one.

We first got ABCmouse in 2012 when I won $1000 and a free year in one of their contests. At first I was a bit leery, but since it was free, we gave it a shot with our 4.5 year old. She did amazing!!! She cruised right through the lessons, but we knew she was learning at the same time. Since we didn't do preschool with her we knew this would be great to help her prepare for kindergarten and we feel it definitely did.

So I knew when my son turned 2 we wanted to get it for him. I was thankful they were willing to provide us a free year for the review!

You start off in the classroom where you can take care of the fish, look at a map, click activities, learn the calendar and more.

There are books to read, Games to play and many other things to learn like math, arts/colors, etc. Each level is different. Right now for my 2 year old the math is things like counting to 5, shapes and patterns and so on. Simple things since he's only 2. But as they advance, so do the lessons.

Overall the program has been awesome for my son. He loves sitting at my computer with me and learning the lessons. He can't use a mouse well yet, so I do the clicking for him, but a good amount of the lessons are automatic like the books, so it makes it a bit easier.
He loves sitting down and using it for about 30 minutes each day to every other day.

You can also set up multiple children on the same parent account which makes it easier.

Price: 30 days for free right now! Then it's just $7.95 per month OR $79 for 1 year or $99 for 2 years! I think once this expires we will buy 2 years. My little guy won't start kindergarten until he's almost 6, so this will be a wonderful way to set him up for kindergarten.

Overall: ***** we love ABCmouse and will continue to use them (probably for our third child too!)
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from ABCmouse in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to ABCmouse for allowing me to review this product and for offering a giveaway

I learned ABCmouse.com’s reading curriculum helps children to quickly learn the letters of the alphabet and their sounds, as well as learn to instantly recognize the sight words that are most important for beginning readers

I learned that there are also printables available with the lesson plans. I think that would be perfect for my 2 year old who may not have the patience to sit in front of the computer every day just yet, but will happily color for awhile.

I love how it keeps going from one thing to the next for the child, without help from a parent.

They have steps for learning. I am interested in the reading because my kindergartener is struggling just a little in reading.
