2014 Kia Soul !

The 2014 Kia Soul ! was a dream to drive. It has been totally transformed and is now sleeker and more sophisticated. More fun to drive, More advanced technology, and more surprises.

The 2014 Kia Soul ! gets 23/31 MPG which is pretty great for a crossover/small SUV.

The Kia Soul ! seats 5 passengers with 2 in front and 3 in back and it also features a large trunk area that is large enough for all of your belongings and anything you need to put back there.

With the 2nd row up.
With the 2nd row folded flat.

One of my favorite features was the Center console/stereo system. Super easy to use and navigate. This model also features the UVO Powered by Microsoft w/ rear camera display.
UVO allows you to control a smartphone. Control music. With your voice OR the touch of a button. From entertainment to emergency to maintenance- UVO is your trusty 8inch screen co-pilot.
It was very easy to switch between navigation, radio, media etc. All with the touch of a button on either side of the stereo.

Steering wheel mounted controls make driving this car a breeze. From controlling the radio to cruise control, you definitely feel in control of this Kia Soul !
Lots of leg room in the front, so even your tallest of passengers can ride in style.
A good amount of leg room in the back too.
The middle seat in the back row is also a cup holder. Makes it easy for the passengers in the back to have their drinks right on hand if they need too.

The 2014 Kia Soul ! is a very safe vehicle to drive. It has Dual front advanced airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, full length side curtain airbags, 4 wheel antilock brake system and more.

It also features Electronic Stability Control which offers an enhanced level of vehicle control and peace of mind by offering improved directional stability helping you maintain the vehicle's intended direction of travel. It monitors and assists in the control of key vehicle functions by braking individual wheels and reducing engine power accordingly.

The LED lights on this vehicle were very sleek

Overall I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anybody. It drove like a dream and although it has a unique look to it, it was really an attractive vehicle to drive. And with a base price of just $14,900 for the base model, you really can't go wrong! The one I test drove which is their 3rd and most expensive model, fully decked out came to $26,195. Which is an amazing price! Kia's are definitely known for being affordable.

*Disclaimer, I received a Kia Soul  for a weekend test drive. All opinions here are 100% my own and I was not compensated to write this post, other than receiving the vehicle.

I almost bought a Kia Soul. I use my car as my office (fabric books galore!) and it was just too small to house all the things I need with me everyday. I still love them though, especially the green one!

This is such a cute vehicle and a great one to scoot around town in. It's actually more spacious than I thought!

Kia is such a great brand- I love this!

I was always skeptical of the Kia brand until my husband purchased a Kia 2 years ago. It's awesome and I like it better than my car. I like the new shape of the Soul. It's less "toaster" shaped than before. I could see myself driving one.

I love all the room in the back. Thanks for the great review. We have a Kia and love it.

My son and daughter-in-law just bought the Kia Soul. I agree with Kimberly, I had always been reluctant to consider Kia, but they love theirs. It has also been redesigned, and looks better, at least to me. Frankly, I would consider buying it now simply because they don't have those horrid rapping hamsters in them. I actually enjoy the new commercials that show the hamsters in snazzy suits.

The Kia Soul seems like it's a great family car, while still being stylish.

I love that the middle seat in the back can go down to become a cupholder.

I saw one of these cute suvs today. It was nice to look inside and hope no one was watching me thinking I'm going to break into it.LOL! They're really roomy too.I like it :)

THis Kia Soul is very pretty, I wish that I could afford a new car, but with being retired, just going to keep the car I have now, its paid for..LOL. I like the way the trunk area and the shelf are in the back seat, cause then everyone does not see everything you have in the car

Oh that looks so nice! I have a Kia Sedona minivan that is 8 years old now...and I have not had ANY problems with it! I just love Kia's and when I trade, will want to buy another Kia! I will have to look at the Kia Soul!

I normally don't like green, but this is sort of an avocado green. It's really pretty in the sunlight.

I really like the dash board where it has everything right there lit up so it's easy to see.My fave feature is the controls on the stereo. Very cool :)

I almost bought a car but had events (being injured as a pedestrian, by being hit by a car) that canceled my plans for the future. The car used to get me around is that of my relatives and it's experiencing problem after problem and we can not afford to get it all fixed. I still have to get to appointments though, especially the ones that require attention so I have to rely on family / friends!

I LOVE the color! I don't know if I could have let them have it back if I were you! This is exactly what I am needing. We gave up our 2nd car a couple of years ago because I no longer work outside the home. But we are raising our 11 year old granddaughter (she went back with her parents & came back with us in August) & I really need something with the space this has for storage. She is involved in every activity under the sun so we are always needing space to haul equipment. (usually hers & AT LEAST one friend)

I love cars that have tons of buttons even if I don't know what half of them means:). This is a really nice car and I like the navigation system.

I love reading car reviews on blogs, my husband and I are in the market for a new second car for my husband's commute. The leg room in the Kia Soul is really important to us (my husband and I are both tall), as is the gas mileage. How did it handle in the snow?

Unknown said...

My car was just in the shop and they gave me this car as a rental. I thought it was nice and drove well, but not enough space for my family.

I love the rear camera display! That is something that I have been wanting

I love all the room in the back and it's affordable too!

I love the color but DH would never let me buy a car just based on that lol! I think the read view camera is the best thing, I drive an older minivan and am thinking about getting one installed. You just can't see everywhere!

My Mom owns a Kia Sorento and she loves it - so I knew by her statements that Kia was great. However, I didn't realize that the Kia Soul had so much room and all these features. Thanks for the review.

I am obsessed with these. I am so jealous that you got to review one...LOL! I think that this would be an awesome car to drive.

I have driven one of the older models of these and it is a great car for husbands who are super tall and need the leg room! Very smooth ride too, I loved driving it...

I love the look of the new Soul and have always loved Kias, but how does it handle in inclement weather? I see in the pictures that you drove it in the snow, and my only concern with buying one is that it will not drive well in the bad weather. I love that it has all the voice activated cell phone controls. That is a really cool feature.
