Lorex Review

I received a sample from Lorex for the sole purpose of this review
We already have a video monitor in my daughter's room, but it was definitely time to get one hooked up in my son's room as well. I'd like to be able to see him fall asleep and see when he wakes up, etc. So I contacted Lorex. One of the leaders in video monitoring.

I received the Sweet Peek Baby Video Monitor and I couldn't be happier with it.

All fit nicely inside the box.
Comes with the monitor, a camera, and some cords for plugging them all in.
Setup was super easy. You plug a cord into the camera and into the wall and it's ready to go.
And you put the battery pack on the back of the monitor. It can also be plugged in to charge it though.

The camera has a nightlight on it that can be turned on right from the monitor which is a very nice touch.
The image isn't the best or clearest, but it definitely allows you to see your child in their space.
The lights at the top show sound. There are 5 of them so the more that light up the louder the sound is.

The monitor has some really cool features. You can turn up and down the volume among many other things. You can set the low and high temperature you want the room to be at and when it reaches that point it will alert you or you can turn these off completely. There are built in lullabies. You can also zoom in with the camera as well. All of this controlled right from the monitor.
When you turn on the monitor it displays the temperature in the room in the bottom right corner which is a nice feature.

You can talk to your baby through the monitor. You hold down the talk button and talk to baby. It's cool to see baby's reaction to this.
In the morning I like watching my son through this and see him play and talk in his crib quietly. I like to give him about 10 minutes alone time in there to wake up slowly and play with the couple stuffed animals he sleeps with.

The camera can also be mounted on the wall which I'm considering doing so I can see my son easier and see down into his crib.

Price: $179.99 normally, but $119.99 right now and the monitor can accommodate 4 cameras!

Overall: *****
Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Lorex in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Lorex  for allowing me to review this product

I really like this monitor. It is not a brand that I am familiar with but with your description it sounds like a great monitor. I love the wall mounting feature.

This would be great to have for my youngest grandson's room. He's always up to no good now that his crib was converted to a toddler bed!

My husband and I have been seriously considering getting a video monitor, but weren't sure which one to get - so many choices! But this one sounds perfect - I love that you can zoom in and that it tells you the room temperature!
