I received a costume directly from Costume Discounters for the sole purpose of this review
I have worked with plenty costume company's in the past. With 2 kids needing costumes (3 for next year EEK) we go through quite a few. I'm thankful to be able to get my kids costumes for review though. So this year I started early and started working with Costume Discounters.
We received the What a Hoot costume for Emerson. I'd been eyeing this costume since last year, but it was over everyone's budget!! This year we were fortunate enough to receive it and I'm so thankful since it's the last year Emerson can wear it (only goes up to 24m)
We got it in a large which is 18m-2T. Emerson is comfortably in a 12-18m now, but we're talking about almost 3 months away, so that's why I went a bit big.
It is a bit big on him, but I'd rather it be big than too small. Although I'm sure the Medium (12-18m) would have fit him perfectly.
It's mainly the hood that's big. But it's not so big that it falls in his face or falls off. So that's always good. It's just a bit big. He has a tiny head though lol.
So their sizing is definitely dead on for the toddler costumes. They fit right where they're supposed to be age wise.
I like that this costume has the snaps on the legs to make diaper changes easier. Since it velcros up the back it would be hard to change a diaper without these snaps.
The booties just make this costume I think. They are big enough to fit over shoes too which is great if your toddler will be walking. Emerson will probably do a combo of walking/baby carrier this Halloween so I like that it's big enough that the pants won't bunch up in the carrier and get him chilly.
Last Halloween was chilly and rainy. I really hope we have a nice Halloween this year.
Here in MI we need full body costumes most the time, so this was necessary for us.
Price: $43.99 with their promo code on site right now. It's totally worth it.
Overall: *****
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Costume Discounters in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Costume Discounters for allowing me to review this product
