Kelty Review and Discount Codes

I have heard of Kelty camping gear and their baby hiking carriers in the past, but it wasn't until recently that I knew they also made strollers.

I was in need of a jogging stroller. I used to run track and school and I LOVE running (even if it's messed up my knees terribly), but I couldn't get out and go running with Emerson because I didn't have a jogging stroller. So I would go in the evenings, but that's the worst time to exercise. I contacted Kelty about their Speedster Swivel Deluxe and they said yes! I was sent the orange one for my review!
It came with the main stroller, 3 wheels and the sun shade!

The wheels were SUPER easy to put on. The front one was the hardest (but still easy). The back ones just popped on.
It's a pretty big seat. It sits back pretty far so it's nice and deep and I love the footrest.
Storage on the back. There is a big basket below as well as a few pockets back there as well!
There's also a safety strap. When you're jogging just keep the strap around your wrist so the stroller doesn't get away from you.
Also a bell and the rear tires have brakes on them as well.
Adjustable handle. Just push these yellow buttons (one on each side) and then adjust it where you need it.
It locks and unlocks in place in order to fold it up. When it's in use it will be locked and when you're ready to fold it up you slide the piece that says unlock/lock toward the front of the stroller and then it can fold.
 With the shade on.
I love the very big shade. Baby won't get rain/snow in their face and it protects from a lot of the sun as well.
Front wheel locks. When you're jogging you need to have it locked so it stays straight. For everyday use you unlock it and it swivels 360 degrees.
Avery in the stroller.
Emerson in the stroller (straps needed to be adjusted here.
There are a few things I dislike about this stroller.
The straps don't seem comfortable. Maybe I need to do more adjusting, but they seems to grab Emerson weird when he's in here. Maybe it's because they start behind the back. I don't know.

And also the recline on the seat doesn't really work at all on mine. Mine is loosened all the way so the seat should lay back fairly far, but it doesn't. I don't know if it has to do with weight in there or what. But it just doesn't work very well for mine. And also the rear brakes don't work well. I don't know if I'm not pushing them down hard enough or not, but the wheels still spin and the stroller rolls away if on an incline.

With all that in mind I do love this stroller and I am using it for my everyday use. It stays folded up in the back of the van and I use it often. When I decide to go for a jog I just pull it out of the van and put Emerson in and go. It's been perfect for what I need it for and has been working amazing well for what I need it to do. I just wished it reclined a bit more.

I love the large basket underneath. My other stroller's basket isn't big enough for my purse/diaper bag, so this one is nice.
We took this to the LEGO Kids Fest and was able to put my purse (full of Emerson's stuff too) as well as the kids jackets and my jacket below. So it is plenty big for that.

It's a very smooth ride too. Stroller holds up to 70 pounds in it as well! And the rear wheels have a quick release to make for easy storing.

It also comes in a double stroller and also in a nice blue color too!

Price: Single is $399.95 and the double is $499.95

Overall: **** there are te few issues that I've encountered mentioned above. Other than that it is a great stroller.
