We received the wonderful, award winning Sophie the Giraffe. I couldn't wait to get my hands on her!

 Emerson couldn't wait either :)

He loves his Sophie! He really never puts her down and never goes anywhere without her!!! He loves her to pieces. 

Sophie is made from food grade plastic. She has been around for 50 years! Since 1961. Originally made in the French Alps. Non toxic paint is used as well. 

The legs are great for babies to chew on and reach those molars. And the ears and horns are wonderful for the front teeth. Emerson is always chewing on Sophie and I honestly think she's made teething easier. He's finally getting in his first tooth, the skin is about to break and he's been happy as a clam. He does wear a teething necklace, but I really think Sophie helps. 

He chewed on her so hard yesterday (told you that tooth was coming) that she got wet inside and the squeaker didn't work. I was bummed, because that's one of his favorite parts, but this morning she was working again! I guess it just needed to dry out. 

So yes, she squeaks inside. She is almost like a glorified dog toy, real soft flexible rubber and she squeaks! But she is wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone!!

You might also want to get a backup just in case because if something happens to Sophie #1, you will not want to wait for Sophie #2 to arrive!!!
