I have reviewed a few baskets from Gourmet Gift Baskets in the past. When I was contacted a few months ago about a review of a Christmas basket I was stoked! I couldn't wait to get my hands on one!
I chose the Christmas Gift Basket Classic and I couldn't wait to open it!
Came wrapped so pretty... although it didn't stay like that for long.
It had a ton of different products inside. I like that it was all different brands too. Let's you sample and learn what you like. And different types of products as well.
Almond Pecan-dy Crunch by Morley Candy Makers: I really like this for a few reasons. One, Morley is literally about 3 miles down the road from me! They have very high quality products and it's neat that this was included in one of these baskets. Two, it was just very yummy in general. This was our favorite out of the whole basket!
Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies by J&M Foods: These were very good! Jon actually stated he wanted to buy more of them!
Dipping Pretzels by East Shore Specialty Foods: These were good. They were a bit dry, but they were awesome when paired with the dipping sauce!
Robert Rothschild Farm Raspberry Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip: That's a mouthful! It was tangy. I loved this with the pretzels, Jon didn't even get to try them at all. They were gone in just a few days time! So good.
Salted Peanuts by Feridie's: These were good for peanuts. Jon thought they were way too salty, I thought they were perfect!
Signature Dark Chocolate Bar by Lake Champlain: YUMMY! I'm not a dark chocolate fan at all, but this was very good.
Buttered Peanut Crunch by Old Dominian Peanut Company: These were a close second behind the Pecan-dy Crunch! Very good. Had the perfect amount of sweetness and crunch!
Metropolitan Trail Mix by Gourmet Gift Baskets: This was good too. I like a good trail mix. It had Pineapple in it, but it was such a small amount I took a chance! No reactions thank goodness!
Chocolate Covered Cherries by Marich: These were good. VERY good. Jon didn't even want to try them, but I was very impressed. Typically I'm not a cherry person, but these were good. I would definitely buy them again.
Parmesan Artichoke and Garlic Cheese Biscuits by Salem Baking Company: The only thing we didn't like in this entire basket! Avery liked them and ate them, but Jon and I, not so much! They say great for topping soups and salads. MAYBE, but on their own they were not very good. Very dry and the flavor just wasn't there!
I LOVE the basket it all came in too. Very useful and will be used around the house for a lot I'm sure.
Price: This basket is $59.99 and let me tell you, it's worth it. The cookies alone are like $6 a box and the Morley candy is $6.95. Plus all that other stuff? And the basket?
Overall: ***** I really loved this basket. It's a great thing to send to a family member for Christmas. They will love it!
