I love to sew and craft. Sewing and Knitting are passions of mine and if I can collect patterns for them I will. 

I came across Fishsticks Designs and fell in love with her clothes. So I contacted her about a pattern and she was kind enough to allow me to review one. I received the Little One Layette pattern for review. 

I like this pattern because you can do tops, bottoms, gowns, and a romper. You just print the pieces in the pattern and cut them to the line you need for your size. Then cut out your fabric accordingly for what you're making and you're on your way. 

Lately it really hurts me to sew. My back locks up when I'm sitting down for too long. I need to have my feet up in order to prevent this and I can't sew with the machine in my lap while I'm reclined so I kind of rushed through the sewing process. Everything turned out good.

Except I forgot to check to make sure I was catching all layers. So on the collar there I missed. I'm going to rip that section and redo it. I still need the hem the top as well. The pants were really easy for me to do.

It was completely my error and of no fault of the owner of the pattern. 

The pants turned out great and I had those made in just a few minutes flat, but I'm used to making pants! I have made LOTS of little pants from t-shirts and fleece cuts, so those were super easy. 

The top was really easy as well. It took me about 35 minutes, but I was stopping to take breaks for my back. 

I think I'll wait to finish the top for when babe is here. It's wearable now since knit fabric doesn't fray. But I just need to hem it and rip out a bit there by the collar and make sure it's stitches all the way down. 

The neck on the collar looked way too small to me, but it stretches nicely (she even shows which way to have your fabric stretch on the pattern) and it fit Avery's doll nicely. Didn't look like it was choking her, so that's good!

Overall it was quick and easy.

Price: The Little One Layette set is $11.75 for the pattern. Like I said, you can do a top, bottom, gown and a romper with that pattern. And it's from sizes NB-12months

The Charlie Tee and Hoodie for Infant/Toddler is $11.75 as well. ALL of her patterns are between $11.25 and $12.75. So very reasonable.

Overall: ***** Easy to follow and very clear instructions.
