Mommy's Favorite Things: GEM Cloth Review & Giveaway

GEM Cloth Review & Giveaway

You all know I used Cloth Diapers and I use Cloth Pads. That's not a secret. I'm share my opinion about cloth and I love for everyone to try some. I love my cloth pads. They are amazing at absorption and can be thrown in the washer. No running to the store when you 'run out', no worrying about having to run out and spend more money that month. It's a one time payment and you're done. Same with cloth diapers or cloth paper towels (trying to switch to those as well). I love cloth and GEM Cloth (Green and Economical by Michelle) is no exception.

She sent me 2 beautiful pads to try out a Regular flow 9" and a Heavy flow 10" pad.
Backed with fleece because it's water resistant.
Since getting my Mirena out in November I have had a heavier period. Sorry for the TMI. But I let her know that so she opted to send me a heavy to try.

I love these pads. The heavy is really great for all day or overnight even. It's a little longer so a little more protection and it seems a little thicker as well, maybe an extra layer in there of material.

They are Cotton Velour and Cotton Woven (print) the middle is a cotton absorbent material. The Velour is so soft. I've always used pads that were flannel or cotton woven and let me tell you, this velour is the softest best material I've had next to my girly bits. I LOVE it. I don't think I'll ever buy another cotton again. It was very soft and made that, otherwise pesky time, comfortable.

They absorbed a normal amount. Same as my other pads, so that was nothing special. The snaps stayed shut and the pads didn't move around at all. They stayed in place, which us women know is important. The fleece helps them from moving around I've heard. And the fleece is a water resistant barrier so they didn't leak at all. Another important feature.

She sells light, regular, heavy and postpartum pads. She also sells diapers

Price: There are no individual prices on her page, but you can get 6 pack samples, 2 light, 2 regular and 2 heavy for about $28. This is very reasonable for 6 pads.

Overall: ***** Love this pad. It washed up very well, the velour is great for that. No stains with this dark green color either.

*Disclaimer* I received these products directly from the Company for Review. I was not paid to try out these products*

How She started her business was by making cloth diapers for her son. Now...what I am really amazed with is that she took this idea and was able to upcycle many t-shirts. I never would have imagined using t-shirts to make cloth diapers--now she has applied this concept to herself and many other things. Now she uses this for momma pads. How awesome!

I'm another who planned on using (and bought) cloth pads right before finding out I was preggo so I've never used them and still don't know what to expect. I like that she uses only 100% cotton and upcycled materials. I also love the nursing pads with the skull and crossbones on them! Awesome. :)

I already use a Diva cup so am VERY interested in 'momma cloth'. I love that 'that time' can become less painful and icky without the use of chemical based products.

I've never tried cloth pads before, but I've been wanting to for a couple months. I'm hesitant to pay so much in case i hate them, so winning some would be perfect :)

I can honestly say I've never tried anything like this. It makes sense and seems very practical and cost effective too. I also lied their COTTON FITTED MULTI-SIZE PINNABLE DIAPERS. Cute prints!
