Mommy's Favorite Things: Wedding Dress?

Wedding Dress?

I'm still not sure on when we're getting married, where we're getting married, and if we're even getting married. Jon never wants to talk about it and plan it. I'm thinking about a Beach wedding JUST the 3 of us. Maybe a couple others as witnesses. I'm talking easy peasy. We've been together 4 years, own a house together, have a child together. I'm thinking it will just make it official and we'll call it a day. So I think what I'm going to do is say "Ok we're getting married on so and so day, be there in a suit and that's it" If I don't plan this whole thing it won't even happen.
He thinks I'm rushing things! Ugghhh

Anyway, I found this dress at JcPenney. it's a Prom dress, I tried it on the other day and I LOVE it. I was wondering if it looks wedding enough for you? Or are the sparkles too much? I loved the top of it. I took pictures on my phone, but they didn't turn out good. I'm going to upload them anyway!

So I don't feel like spending too much. I've never tried on a wedding dress in my life. I tried this one on and it just felt right. It's $80 and I'm considering buying it and calling it a day. If we break up or whatever, I can sell it or donate it. I really want it, do you think it's wedding-y enough???

Oh and If it makes a difference Avery said "Mommy you look pretty in that dress" Awwwwwwwwwwww

I agree you should wear whatever makes you happy, I wore dress pants and a black dressy shirt and got married at the court house....it really doesnt matter what you wear. My biggest concern reading this was, you saying something about IF you break up. Idk, but in my opinion, that shouldnt even be on your mind if you are thinking about getting married.

It's not on my mind, but there's always a possibility. I always think the worst in things though. Thank you for all the opinions. I may talk to him this weekend about it and see what he thinks. He'll probably say the same thing ladies. If I like it go for it. But we'll see. I can also check David's Bridal because they run $100 sales ALL THE TIME! Thanks

I like the dress. I was never into trying on gowns either. I went to Davids and bought the first dress I tried on! and I loved it!
Good luck :)

I think it is pretty and if you and Avery like it get it!
Yes, my daughter got a $100 gown at David's Bridal and it was perfect! Just last years dress, never worn, but they were going to make a small change in the style for the new ones.

If it's going to be a "beach" wedding then I think it's every nice, or even nice for a court house wedding. If the wedding was going to be in a church, then I would say no. It doesn't give off the same "bride" feel for location such as a church. Just like I wouldn't wear my gown at a beach, it would be to much.....

That's my 2 cents on it. And as others have said...It's your day, dress the way you want.

Very beautiful dress indeed. It reminds me of those days when I was looking for my own wedding dress. I was so nervous! Just look at the resource https://weddingdressesguide.com/western-wedding-dresses/. Isn’t it beautiful? My point is… We should enjoy the wedding day. If you don’t sure about it, just look at the resource, it really helps. Hope you will enjoy your wedding.
