2016 Honda Civic Touring

Are you in the market for a new car? Are you looking for a compact sedan that averages 35 MPG and starts at just $18,640 (touring starts at $26,500)? The all new Honda Civic may be the perfect car for you!

I recently had this Civic for a week and it quickly became one of my favorite test drives ever!
I'm actually a little sad my husband just bought a new car in February, because I would've convinced him to go with a Civic!

The 2016 Honda Civic is a 5 seater, compact sedan. But in all honesty it didn't feel very compact at all. It was very spacious. My husband is a large guy and he fit very comfortably into this car and loved the drive. It does sit a little low to the ground and even for me this was a shock getting in and out of it (I'm used to driving a Town and Country). But overall was a great ride and it's very spacious inside and packed with a lot of features!

The very first thing I noticed was the Honda LaneWatch. It is a camera mounted below the passenger sideview mirror. When you turn the turn signal to the right, an image pops up on the screen of your blindspot, makes changing lanes SUPER easy!

Steering Wheel Mounted Controls

Dash Display

I loved the look of the stereo system and the touch screen. But changing channels/adjusting volume was kind of a pain. There are no dials for them, both are touch screen and I found them a tad distracting. (Although both can also be adjusted from the steering wheel)

Under that middle of the console there is a USB charging station and this area allows the cord to come up to the storage area. Making an easily accessible charging station!

Moonroof!

In the middle there is a storage console, it has cupholders, but they slide back out of the way and reveal a VERY deep storage compartment below!

Lots of legroom in both the front and back

Plenty of trunk space as well. When the seat is up just pull the knob on either side and push the seat down to reveal a large flat trunk space.

Rear seat has an armrest cupholder as well as heated seats!

(The sun was not in my favor this day)
I loved the two tone look of the car!

The 2016 Honda Civic Touring has an MPG of 31 city and 42 highway, averaging 35 MPG.
Some of the safety features:
Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, LED Daytime Running Lights, Multi Angle Rearview Camera, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control (where it automatically matches your speed of the car in front of you when cruise control is active), and SO much more!

AWARDS:
The Honda Civic is the 2016 North American Car of the Year, it's also named by Kelley Blue Book as one of the top 16 Best Family Vehicles, Best Buy of the Year among small cars via Kelley Blue Book, Kelley Blue Book's 2015 Best Value Brand.

Kelley Blue Book also named Honda as the Best Overall Brand for the 3rd year in a row for 2015.

The color of the car was Burgundy Night Pearl and it was HARD to get a picture of. It looked black at night and on an overcast day, but was a burgundy shade in the sun. So sparkly and dark dark red! A truly BEAUTIFUL color!

Here's a stock image of the color

*Disclaimer, I received a Honda Civic Touring for a 1 week test drive. All opinions here are 100% my own and I was not compensated to write this post, other than receiving the vehicle.
