Our style here in our home isn't really modern. I guess it's contemporary. It's not antique or classic, but not totally modern. I don't know that I would like my entire house in a modern design, but I do like the look of modern furniture.
I came across Zuo Modern and fell in love with most of their items. Some are REALLY modern and some are a mix of modern and contemporary. I was given the opportunity to choose a children's item of my choice.
I chose the Phante Chair. I wanted it in Green. Their only options were Green or Pink, so I chose green. When I got my shipping notification I was shocked to see it said Black. I didn't know if I'd like it, but black does coordinate with everything so...
I decided to save him for Christmas and give him to my kids then! I figured this could be something from 'Santa' that they could both share!
Christmas morning came and this was my daughter's favorite item. She LOVED the new Phante Chair. I still didn't know about it being black, but it quickly fit right in.
The chair is a bit wobbly when it's sat on. The legs come together quite a bit, so it doesn't cover a lot of ground space and I think that's why. So Emerson doesn't use it yet, but Avery likes to sit on it to 'read' and some other things. She's having fun with Phante.
I really like his sleek design. He is modern looking and I like the style.

Price: The Phante chair that I received is $150 full price, but I've seen it as low as $82 online!
The last chair I showed is retail of $1178, but sells for about $875 on Amazon!
Overall: **** I don't like that it's wobbly, I think it needs a sturdier base, but the color options (on Amazon, they only have 2 on their site) are pretty great and I think he's super cute!
