Impel Clothing Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

I love clothing that I can layer. Undershirts are a must for me... I wear a lot of sweaters and zip up sweatshirts so they are necessary. I received the Favorite V-Neck Tee in Cameo Pink from Impel and I just adore it! Love the color too.
I was sent the small and it fits me great. It's very form fitting, which I like for underneath.

It is very long which I also love, it covers everything up nicely. It is the softest tee I own. It's not all cotton, it has some spandex in it, so the stretch and softness it just great.

This shirt washes really well. It's been washed a handful of times now and it comes out softer every time. It has not shrunk either, which is a huge plus.

I love the v-neck, I don't feel like I'm choking when I wear it.

Impel has a lot of basics, but they also carry other every day things too like sweaters, dresses, jackets belts and more! I love all they have to offer.

Price: The tee I received is $20. I think this is reasonable. It is a really soft, great top.

Overall: *****

Short Hats Review from Melondipity

How cute is that logo??

We received one of the Baby Hats from Melondipity.
We received the Riley hat in Burgundy and I really like it. At first I thought it looked more boyish then girl, but after trying it on (in the 2-5 yr size) I realized I really like it. The more she wears it the more it's growing on me.

The hat is very adjustable and it fits her great. It adjusts in the back. Of course, Avery is tiny so she's wearing it on the tightest setting, but I know it will fit her for years to come.

Short Hats carries a lot of different kinds. You may remember my last review for short hats. Avery still wears those 2 this winter and I love them just as much.

Short Hats has proven to be long withstanding. We have used those hats for a year not and they are holding up great.

Just visit www.melondipity.com for fun hats and other things for kids!

Price: This hat is $28. I think that is a little much, but like I said, I've gotten a year out of the other 2 and as long as they continue to fit, I'll get plenty more out!

Overall: ***** Love it!! Once again!

Mouse House Creations Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Along with children safety comes a realm that most parents don't even know of. You know it's safest to keep your child harnessed for as long as possible, but did you also know that wearing a winter jacket under that harness is VERY unsafe and can potentially be deadly? A puffy jacket compresses in a crash and can fling the child out of the seat if the harness straps are loosened enough.

If you have to loosen the straps to get your child in the seat than that jacket is NOT ok to be worn. Sweatshirts are fine and thinner jackets are okay as well, but big puffy winter jackets are unacceptable.

So what is the solution? Well you could take off your child's jacket, strap them in and cover them with either a blanket or their jacket on backwards OR you can get a Car Seat Poncho Like those made my Mouse House Creations. She made Avery a custom reversible poncho and I'm in LOVE!!

She asked for Avery's height and asked where I wanted it to hit on her legs. I wanted it big so I could get 2 years out of it. And this is what I got! I'm so in love with it.

She added the pocket to the reverse side so her hands can keep warm. The child can stick their arms out the bottom and put them in the pocket, however, it's a little big on Avery and she can't do that.

Now it looks intimidating, I know. Basically before putting Avery in her seat, I have her face me (standing on the ground) I pick up the back of the poncho, grab her under her arm, place in seat, and buckle her in. The back of the poncho lays over the back of the seat and the straps go underneath.

This is double layer fleece IT IS WARM ENOUGH! Sometimes I put Avery's spring jacket on first, then this over. So the straps buckle over her spring jacket. It is fleece lined so keeps her a tad warmer.

I have gotten so many compliments on this poncho and I will buy another one when she outgrows this one.

I was going to get pictures of her in it in the car, but It's just too cold to torture her like that. Think 14 degrees BRRR.
Here is a photo from online that shows how it lays over the seat.
Much Safer and in my opinion warmer as it covers most of the legs too!!!

Price: Mouse House charges about $42 for a completely custom poncho. This is worth it.

Overall: ***** Love it, Avery likes it too. It's super easy to slip on and off (easier than a zipper jacket is) and she's gotten tons of compliments on it. Most of all It's all about her safety!

GIVEAWAYMouse House Creations has offered one Mommy Of 1 and Counting reader the chance to win a Custom Poncho as well. She will send you a link with her fleece choices and you choose!!
