I received a sample from Zazu Kids for the purpose of this review
We all know that areas like the Netherlands are way ahead of us here in the U.S. So when I got emailed about the opportunity to review Zazu Kids' 2 great sleep products, I said YES! They know what they're doing and I couldn't have been more excited to receive our new items.
I received 2 of their products. The SAM Sleep Trainer and the LOU Nightlight
LOU is the super cute owl! He plugs in OR takes batteries to make him nice and portable. He comes in Blue, Grey or Pink. We got the blue. The ring shuts off automatically after 30 minutes and the owl shuts off after 60 minutes. When LOU hears your baby crying, he will turn on automatically to help soothe your child! Tell me that isn't awesome?
My boys have loved LOU from the very start. They love having him in their room to help them light up the night and he DOES turn back on when there's noise so that's a very nice feature to have!
Just turn him on, adjust the brightness of the owl AND the white ring.
From there you can push the front button to turn him on, and then press the owl or ring to turn them on/off depending on your preferences.
Here he is with both on
SAM s the sleep trainer. He is a bit more complicated, but still very fun! He comes in grey, blue or pink as well. We got the blue. You can individually set the times on this clock to your preferences. Blue on the screen means it's sleepy time. So if your child wakes up at 5am and sees the clock still lit up blue, it means they should still be sleeping. When it's green it means a little longer, means they can quietly play in their room for a little bit, and when it turns a white/light blue color it means they can get up finally! I think this is a great way for children to visually see when they should still be sleeping and when it's safe to get up and play, it helps them achieve more sleep.
This one is also powered by batteries OR plug in. His eyes open and close to the according time and period of sleep which is fun. It features both analog and digital time! It's also an alarm clock for older children who prefer the alarm instead of light.
SAM has made my toddler's sleep a LOT better. He's 3.5 and would wake up between 6 and 6:30 most mornings, that in turn woke up the baby and neither were getting enough sleep. This is a nice visual for my oldest (and eventually my youngest) to get more sleep.
We loved trying out both products and I think they are great tools for those with young children.
Price: LOU the Owl is $39.99 and SAM is $49.99
Overall: *****
1 winner will get their choice of EACH of the products above! A SAM trainer and a LOU nightlight
