Simmering Samurai Review & Giveaway

I received coupons from Simmering Samurai for the sole purpose of this review
Chinese food is one of my favorites. I could eat it every day for the rest of my life and do just fine. I always request it when we're thinking of going out to eat or ordering out. Unfortunately my family doesn't have the total love like I do. They will eat it here and there, but not as often as I'd like.

Fortunately Simmering Samurai has new frozen Chinese meals sold at your local Walmart.

5 flavors. Chicken Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Chow Mein and Broccoli Beed Fried Rice.

This is the chicken fried rice!

The meals get easily cooked in the microwave. You pierce each side of the bag with a fork. One side gets cooked for 4 minutes and the next for 3. Super easy  and you have a meal in under 10 minutes. You can also cook them and fry them on the stove top.

I usually get fried rice any time we get Chinese out, so I was super excited to try all these. I started with the Chicken Fried Rice (which also has bacon, vegetables and scrambled eggs). One thing I didn't like is the chicken is breaded. It was just different from the fried rice I typically know. But overall the flavor was pretty decent. It tasted like Chicken Fried Rice!

Next I tried the Orange Chicken Fried Rice and that one was very tasty. The sauce was very yummy but not overpowering. It was just the right amount. The sauce gets thawed in a bowl of hot water while the rice is cooking in the microwave and it's done when the rice is.

I can't wait to try the Sweet and Sour and the other 2 sound yummy too!

I like that they came out with these. They are a 2 serving size, but are enough for my husband, myself and our 2 year old. Not really enough for our 6.5 year old though. But overall a great deal.

Price: $4.99-$5.99 at Walmart

Overall: *****
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Simmering Samurai in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Simmering Samurai for allowing me to review this product  and for offering a giveaway
