Plow & Hearth Review

I received an item directly from Plow & Hearth for the sole purpose of this review.

Plow & Hearth is really a great website, they carry everything you need for the outdoors as well as some indoor living items. We received a couple things from them for review and it was great timing to get our summer started.

We really wanted to start a garden this year and I saw that they had a wonderful Raised Garden Bed Kit. They also sent over a 30 Gallon Grow Pot.

 2 tomato plants!
Raised bed kit was SUPER easy to put together.
You just pop the corner pieces in and then pop the pieces all together.
You aerate the ground and disturb it all, then put your bed down. You need to make sure it's level. I had to put some dirt under some part of it to make sure it was as level as could be. And then you stake it down. Just put the stakes in their designated areas and hammer down.
 All hammered down.
 Then fill with soil.
The grow pot has been awesome. It is like a felt material, so it allows plenty of drainage and allows your plant to get just the right amount of water.

My tomato plants all died because it POURED here for about 4 days in a row, but they came back, however they aren't much bigger than this now, so I think we need to buy bigger plants and replant them.
This was not the fault of the grow pot though, just that I didn't check the weather and it started pouring the day after I planted everything.

The raised bed has Carrots (which are growing WONDERFULLY), Kale, Chard, Sweet Peppers, Bell Peppers and Lettuce in it. We'll see what happens with everything.

Our dirt underneath is like a clay soil. I tried to grind it up as best as possible, but it's a lot of work and I don't know how well I did. So I hope everything penetrates the soil well and continues to grow. I'm mainly worried about the carrots.

I also have cucumber, zucchini, yellow squash, watermelon and onions growing in the other area here around the bed. I hope the animals don't get to them.

Plow & Heart has some other great items that everyone could use.
Check out this wonderful storage bench
and I love these self watering planters

Price: My 30gallon Grow Pot was $17.95, they also have a 15 gallon for $12.95. My raised bed kit was $59.95

Overall: ***** Love both my items and will continue to use them year after year.
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Plow & Hearth in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products
A big thank you goes out to Plow & Hearth for allowing me to review this product and for offering a giveaway
