Chiquita Mom Kit Review & Giveaway

We love bananas over here. Avery eats one every morning for breakfast. We buy Chiquita as they are sold at our local Kroger and we love the quality. We leave them on the counter and they last a good week. Once they turn ripe though you can stick them in the fridge for longer use, but I always forget.

Chiquita understands that being a mom may be the most challenging, yet rewarding job out there.  This is why it’s important to take care of yourself and your family.  Bananas contain 3 sources of natural sugar: glucose, fructose and sucrose as well as a significant amount of your daily fiber. Additionally, bananas contain potassium, Vitamin B6 and complex carbohydrates.

Do you like to make recipes with bananas? I like Bananas pancakes and banana bread if they've sat around too long, but instead of the traditional way, why not a non traditional, but fun way to eat a banana?

Quick Chiquita Chocolate Banana Pop Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chiquita Banana
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Crisp rice cereal or crushed nuts (optional)
  • 2 whole Ice Pop Sticks
  • 1 sheet Plastic Wrap
  • 1 sheet Wax Paper

Instructions

Peel the banana, cut it in half width-wise and insert the sticks part way into each banana half. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for about an hour. Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt them on half power, checking every 10 seconds so they don’t burn. Dip the bananas in the melted chocolate till they’re coated. Dip in rice cereal or crushed nuts, if you like. Place on wax paper and put in the freezer to set for at least one hour.

I received a MOM kit in the mail from Chiquita. It contained recipe cards, a bowl and sippy cup for Avery, a reusable tote bag, A free coupon for bananas, Freezer Bags and a Flip Book! It was a great kit!!
