Curlformers Review & Giveaway

A new way to curl your hair is Curlformers. I was fortunate enough to try 2 different sets out!
I tried the Extra Long and Wide and the Long and Narrow sets.
Long and narrow is the Blue and Green, Extra Long and wide is Pink and Orange
Here are the Extra Long and Wide in my hair (With no makeup on yet, YUCK)

And here I am after (still no makeup)
I'm not all that happy with these. They come with a hook. You scrunch the curler on the hook and then hook your hair and pull. The hook wouldn't come out of the curler on quite a few and I had to start over, but the time I finished, my hair was almost dry and I had to wet it down again.

It took me close to 40 minutes to do my hair. My hair isn't that thick either. It's average. I was pleased with the results however, after about an hour my curls were gone. They relaxed and just didn't look the same.
Now, I think these would be great on someone with shorter less thick hair. They have curlers for short hair.
I will also say that I can get curls faster and better with my straightening iron. I can get them done in 10-15 and they last all day.

HOWEVER, I tried the little ones on Avery and they held and looked fantastic. They lasted all day and her little curls were so cute, but I didn't snap a picture :(
So after I put these in my  hair, I then had to wait for my hair to dry, That took close to 2 hours. If you're planning on doing these with your hair, I suggest you get up 2-3 hours before you normally would. These would be okay for a wedding as most of them are in the afternoon and into the evening. Other than that I don't think it's worth the time.

I'm sorry!!!
Price: The kits are between $35.50 and $43.50 EUROS. I think this is very generous.

Overall: **** While they didn't work for me, I have hear good reviews about them elsewhere and that may be the case for you. I'm not totally knocking them and I wish you would give them a try.

*Disclaimer* I received these products directly from the Company for Review. I was not paid to try out these products!*

I learned that you put a forming lotion of sorts on your hair first! I have to admit that I would agree it seems like lots of time but would be fun to use for a special occasion!

Thanks for the honest review, heather!

I've been researching curlformers because they looked GREAT on this one gal, and I totally wanted to try them out but didn't know if I wanted to shell out the $. After watching the demo video, I learned that because there's no wrapping, you *should* get perfect curls everytime.

Please please please let me win. I'm dying to try it out! :) kimkchang at gmail dot com!

Wow lady--you are totally gorgeous! Why are you saying, "yuck" to yourself without makeup? Don't be so hard on yourself. You're a natural beauty!

Cheers,

A reader :-)
