So Saturday was our Family Easter Dinner, More of the distant family get togehter Thing! Anyway, We drove almost 2 hours to get here, Me and my almost 2 yr old daughter. She did fine, Read books the whole way. We got there and ate and played and had a good time.
Right as I'm ready to leave at about 7 o' clock. My Lovely Daughter Avery Takes a Fall down about 4 stairs. We don't have stairs in our house so she wasn't used to them. She Hit hard. I've never heard my daughter scream so hard in my life, I cried right along with her. She's usually tough and if she falls and scrapes a knee it's no big deal, but not today. She cried for about 25 minutes. They kept asking If I wanted to take her in, But I knew she was fine. About 15 of us were all standing in the foyer and I think that along with the fall all scared her more, So she was crying more. As soon as I sat down with her in the living room she stopped after about 5 minutes!
We came home about an hour later to make sure nothing swelled up and she was good to go, She took a half hour nap and then was up for the next hour and 15 minutes. She was talking and reading to me. We got home and I was almost afraid to put her to sleep. I didn't want my baby to have a concussion.
I put her to bed and Easter morning she woke up Happy as Can Be. She came out and Opened Her basket and The Easter Bunny Goodies! She was excited. I'm so glad that she's fine and that it's all over with, I wasn't ready to Lose my baby OR make the first trip to the hospital. I've been fortunate with her. But I know one day We'll be in the hospital!
