2018 Mitsubishi Outlander

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Review

After almost 5 years of reviewing cars, when people ask me what my favorite is, I ALWAYS tell them the Mitsubishi Outlander and Outlander Sport. I absolutely love the vehicle and it has been my favorite since I first test drove the Sport in 2013. And every year it just gets better and better. So many upgrades each year, and since I last had an Outlander in November 2015 (a 2016 model) the look of the vehicle has completely changed!

And I was extremely excited when I saw this gorgeous ALL blacked out 2018 Outlander show up in my driveway!! This is a Limited Edition Model.

The Mitsubishi Outlander receives 24/29 MPG with an average of 26. It seats 7. Two in front, three in middle row and two in the third row. While having room for 7, there is still plenty of room in the Mitsubishi. Legroom and trunk space room!

The Outlander has many features and safety features that are way ahead of it's class, and they pack it all in at that wonderful price point! I promise you this car is just as good as it sounds!

I never take pictures like this, but look at that blacked out class!! I loved the look of the new model!

LOTS of legroom in the front and 2nd row!

2nd row seats move forward and back, which is perfect to create more legroom in the 3rd row!

To get passengers to the 3rd row, just pull the button on the middle row seat and move the seat forward!

To lay the 2nd row seat down flat, pull the lever on the side of it, it flips the seat up and then you can lay down the back flat. This is if you need more cargo storage in the trunk.

Cargo underfloor storage!

Still, hands down, one of my favorite vehicles to drive EVER!!

I do struggle with a 3 passenger middle row as I have 3 children, but I put my middle's booster in the 3rd row, my youngest's car seat in the middle row. That way my 10yr old daughter could move her seat out of the way to let my middle to the 3rd row and then she could sit in middle row. So we all fit, but there was some 'work' to make it happen!

I'll also point out that the Outlander ONLY has LATCH in the middle row, so if you have more than 2 car seats (and want to use LATCH) then this may not b the vehicle for you.

I still LOVE the Outlander though and it's on my radar to buy when I'm ready to trade in, in a year or 2.

The Mitsubishi Outlander has some top safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning system and Forward Collision Mitigation. It's the little things that really count and matter. This means that it senses a vehicle in front of you and will adjust your cruise control accordingly. The Lane Departure alerts you if it senses you going over the lines.  It has also won the IIHS Top Safety Pick Rating!

They also offer a 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty AND a 5 year emergency roadside assistance, unlimited miles!!! FREE roadside assistance for 5 years! How awesome is that??

Overall a really nice vehicle and I would definitely recommend this crossover to anybody who was in the market for a crossover that didn't have a ton of people/kids to tote around!

The 2018 Mistubishi Outlander has a base price of $23,945. This Limited Edition Model has a base price of $27,995 and this model I test Drove was priced out at $29,060. A 7 seater CUV for under $30k! It's a BARGAIN, truly!
