I received the Embroidered V-Neck Tee. It's by DownEast basics which everyone here knows I love, but I didn't realize it at the time I requested it.
I got it in the Medium size and it fits me perfectly

Day #60, Are you an artist? Share some work you've done, if not share some art you like.

I am NOT an artist. When I was 5, I wanted to be one. That was my 'goal' I wanted to grow up and be an artist. Then I realized I couldn't draw worth a crap and gave that up.

I've already shared some art work that's in my house and I love those to pieces. So let's go something different besides paintings this time.
I love this. I've always loved feathers and love metal art.

Summer #BlogChallenge Day 59

Going Green with the Grizls
Day #59, How does your life Measure up to the vision you had when you were younger

It doesn't. I never though I'd be a mother at 16, and again at 21. I never thought I'd not graduate high school. I thought my now I'd have my bachelor's degree and doing something like being a Physical Therapy Assistant. Also in school for my Master's. I should've graduated in May, but Here I am with 2 children, living together with the love of my life (been together 6 years now) and being a stay at home mom and house'wife'. But I love every minute of it and I wouldn't change it for anything. I would not go back and get my degree and then get married and have kids, because then I wouldn't have the 2 wonderful children I do now.
I'm very happy with where I'm at.
Yes I'd like to have my degree (one day), but I wouldn't change the order things happened in!

DeeTergent Review

Finding a good detergent that does it all is really hard to come by. I need something that will get my diapers clean, remove stains from the kids clothes and keep our clothes clean as well. I still to this day have not found 1 detergent to do it all... until NOW!

I found DeeTergent and it has been AMAZING!!!
I received the detergent in the Fairy Floss scent.
She also sent along another sample scent (it wasn't marked though)
This detergent looks different then a lot that are homemade because it has bigger pieces and chunks in it, but don't let that fool you. It does just as good of a job cleaning everything.

I use this detergent on my diapers, they come out clean and clean smelling as well. I've found that my stains were greatly diminished with this detergent.

It also works great on our clothes. It has gotten rid of stains from Emerson's clothes and bibs, and it keeps our clothes clean as well. I haven't had a problem using this detergent at all. It dissolves easily in hot or cold water, it's low sudsing and it does a great job. Everything comes out smelling nice and clean and there's a VERY slight scent left over on the clothes, but I know that it's all rinsed clean.

She has many different scents to choose from, 11 in all. And they also offer dryer balls.

Price: $9.50 for the 24/48 load and $17 for the 45/90 load

Overall: *****
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from DeeTergent in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to DeeTergent for allowing me to review this product and for offering a giveaway

Just For Baby Giveaway Sponsor Spotlight TINY LOVE

We never had a mobile with Avery. It just wasn't something she ever needed. She was sleeping 12+ hours through the night at just 12 weeks old and never woke in the middle of the night again after that. She was always a fantastic sleeper, so when Emerson came along, I thought it would be the same.

BOY was I wrong. He's just now at 7 months beginning to sleep through the night. It's happened about 8 times in the past 2 weeks now. So things are just starting to get better. He also will not put himself to sleep which I know is really important.
So when I saw that Tiny Love came out with a few new Mobiles I knew I had to try one!
We received the Soothe 'n Groove

Summer #BlogChallenge Day 58

Going Green with the Grizls
Day #58, When was the last time you roughed it.

Last weekend. Seriously. We had one of our hottest weeks here in MI and our air crapped out. We needed a new capacitor in the conditioner, but were without air for 3 whole days from about Friday at 6:30pm when we got home until Monday at 4pm. I got sick Early Sunday morning so recovering when it was 90 in the house was KILLER!! It was just too dang hot to even think straight. In my opinion that is roughing it! It was too hot. 80 I can handle, 85 is OKAY, but 90?!?!?! It was not happening when I had a stomach virus!

It got fixed at 4pm on Monday and it was 89 in here (it was 97 that day!!) and it ran CONSTANTLY until I turned it off at noon on Tuesday and it was only 75 in here. I know we need a whole new conditioner, but he said for being 14 years old, ours looked good besides the capacitor! I was thankful to pay the man $170 and be on our way!!

Day #57, Alternative Energy Source

Well, there is solar power. Some people think that only businesses can use this, but residential homes can get it too. They install panels on your roof and it's enough to power your entire house. If you run out of solar power then your electricity kicks in. I really think we'll do this when we move. It's fairly inexpensive and would be well worth it in the long run!

Aden + Anais Review

I have reviewed quite a few items from Aden + Anais, from their swaddling blankets, to sleeping bags to their Mum + Bub Line.
This time I reviewed a different kind of product. I received the Up, Up & Away Crib Sheet

Pura Stainless Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

We have been trying for a long time now to go more healthier and natural. Plastics were always an issue. We have quite a few plastic reusable bowls and they are stained orange and colors from grease and such. If plastic stains what else do you think it's absorbing? So I've been trying to get rid of plastics as much as I can, but it's hard and it's typically expensive. So I've been very slowly getting rid of plastic. A great alternative to plastics is Stainless Steel and Pura specializes in this!

We received the Kiki Toddler bottle in Spring Green and also the Silicone Sleeve in Purple

Phase 4 Films June Releases Review

Phase 4 Films has released 2 new movies in June 2012. We received both for review.

We also got popcorn and M&Ms

When I like to shop for anything I like a one stop shop. I like to be able to go to one place and buy everything I need. Whether that is in a store or online. When I first came across Kissed By the Moon I knew that it was a one stop shop! They carry everything green for babies/children.

Mainly they specialize in Cloth Diapers and Accessories, but they also carry things like Baby Carriers, Snack and Lunch Bags, Pampering Mama items, Toys, Clothing, Jewelry and more!

I received the Sustainablebabyish Organic Bamboo Fleece Fitted in the Teal color. I got the diaper in a Medium but I should've gone large!!! I heard these run a bit small.

Just For Baby Sponsor Spotlight BABY GOURMET

Now that Emerson is on a lot of solids It's time to really think about what goes into his body. All formulas are pretty much the same, but food is not. There's certain things that I couldn't imagine eating like pureed meats and that I don't want Emerson ever eating and then there's organic and more healthier yummy options.

I came across Baby Gourmet probably about a year ago. I knew I wanted to try them when Emerson was born.
I received a 12pk of the Sweet Potato Pie

Summer #BlogChallenge Day 56

Going Green with the Grizls
Day #56, If you could have a super power, what would it be?

Not sure it's really a super power, but I would like to be a Medium. To hear from the dead and relay messages to their loved ones. I know this isn't something that could be turned off, but I would thoroughly enjoy having this power.

I would also like to teletransport!!! I would love to be able to go anywhere at any time no questions asked. Just be able to teleport where I need to be. No planes, trains or automobiles! Just go!!!

Summer #BlogChallenge Day 55

Going Green with the Grizls
Day #55, 3 easy healthy meals or snacks for young kids or toddlers

Smoothies! You can make them with anything, but they're great with added spinach/kale!

Frozen Yogurt Covered Blueberry kabobs. Put blueberry's on a skewer, cover in yogurt and then freeze on a tray!! YUMMY snack that kids love!
This is a great idea,  not really a recipe, but it's smart!

Just For Baby Sponsor Spotlight COMOTOMO

With both my babies I always used the standard plastic bottles. I bought ones that were BPA free, but I just used those. It was normal.
Well I was in Buy Buy Baby one day and saw silicone bottles. They were the coolest thing I thought. Silicone. Nice and soft and it feels like a real breast, so these really are the next best thing.

I was working with Kalencom on a review and she also was the PR director for Comotomo. She asked if I wanted to review these bottles and I said YES!! I would love to try a silicone bottle! She sent me the 8oz bottles.
1 pink and 1 green included and she sent 2 extra nipples as well
