I have always loved the look of moccasins on babies! They are just too adorable to pass up. Recently I have come across Freshly Picked and have just loved the owner's story. Here it is.

Money was tight at the time Susan started and in order to earn money to start her business she got resourceful. Her brother owns a window installation business and in the summer of 2009 she convinced him to let her keep the old windows that he was removing from the houses. She spent a whole summer banging the glass out of the windows because they were encased in aluminum frames. At the end of the summer she took the aluminum window frames to the scrap yard and recycled them to get money. She made $200 dollars and with that literal sweat equity, she started her business.

Her story is amazing and talk about determination. So I was super excited to get to try some wonderful moccasins for the boys!

They are pretty true to size. I got a size 6 for my 2 year old and size 2 for my baby. Both are a tad big, but I know we'll get the summer out of them!

When I first pulled them from their dust bags I noticed how thick the leather was but still really pliable and easy to mold to their feet.

My favorite color was Aruba, but they were sold out at the time

The moccasins are 100% genuine leather and are just wonderful. They are very high quality and very well made. Each pair is made to order so you can be sure that care is put into each pair. 

Since the beginning in 2009, the shoes have gone through 6 redesigns. Each change has perfected the look and fit of the moccasins. They stay on the kids feet REALLY well too. Even though they are both big on my boys, I have no problem with them staying on at all. They are very high quality and very durable.

I will definitely be a repeat customer! I can't wait to see their fall colors so I can buy some more! AND I like that my 2 year old's can be passed down to Liam once he fits in them too, so we get DOUBLE use out of his :)

Price: $60, but they are so so worth it! I will continue buying these for my youngest, they will get plenty of use around here, these shoes are wonderful.
