2014 Volvo XC60

Are you looking for a luxury SUV that has a lot of wonderful safety features and also gets great gas mileage? The Volvo XC60 might just be the one for you. 

The 2014 Volvo XC60 gets 17/24 MPG  and is truly one of the safest cars on the road. This car went way above and beyond my expectations in safety and really you couldn't find much better at this same price point. 

The Volvo XC60 is a 5 seater SUV that features 2 seats in the front and 3 in the back. It also has a very spacious trunk space with a spoiler as well. 

With a base price of $41,500 this is a bit of a pricey vehicle, but the features are definitely worth it.

I received the T6 AWD model and the tag on it is $53,215. But let me go over some of the features with you!

The center console could definitely take some getting used too. It had a lot of buttons.

 But I love the way the air is set up with the human diagram right there. Makes it easy to figure out where the airflow is directed.

It was easy to transfer between radio, navigation and media though.

I love the dual controls in the front and this car offered heated seats.

The panoramic sunroof was definitely a nice feature. It was the length of the seats in the front and back. Just the front portion moved to allow airflow, but it was still very large.

I loved the look of the off white seats with the black seat belts. It just looked ritzy to me.

The trunk is very large. This is the full size of the trunk with the 2nd row up and in place. It's very spacious.

 The spoiler pulls down nice and easily and stays in place well.

But with the 2nd row folded down the space is impeccable. The max cargo space is 67.4cu ft.

Center console in the second row folds out, it also has 2 cup holders and a little storage compartment.

Now some of the safety features. 

It offers the Blind Spot Information System. When a car is in your blind spot on either side of the vehicle, this lights up and gives you a nice warning.

When in reverse there is the backup camera, but it also beeps and lets you know when something is in the way. In this case I was parked right up next to my house so it alerted me that there was an object close to the passenger side, front of the car. 

And then when I parked in a parking spot, it alerted me about the curb

This Volvo XC60 is truly one of the safest and let me tell you why. 

When you're driving and you approach a vehicle in front of you, there is a light on the dashboard that reflects in the windshield and lets you know you're getting close, when you get too close it beeps at you very loudly, but the best part? It automatically brakes for you. It prevents you from getting in a collision and that is just awesome. Definitely goes far and beyond other vehicles for safety in that aspect. 

It also has pedestrian and cyclist detection and it auto brakes for them as well. 

When you're driving and you cross over a line in the road, the car beeps at you and alerts you that you've gone over. 

This Volvo XC60 also features Driver Alert Control. It focuses on your concentration, if you have crossed over many lines or seem distracted it will let you know when it's time for a break.

It also features Roll Stability Control. It prevents your car from tipping over and rolling in case of an accident or swerve. 

The Volvo XC60 has a 48 month or 50,000 mile warranty which is pretty good. Also offers a 144 month Corrosion Protection. 

Really this Volvo exceeded all expectations and was a dream to drive. 

Although it is on the pricey side, those safety features truly can't be beat and you really do get what you pay for. 

I would recommend this vehicle to anybody looking for that perfect SUV.
