Jeni Lynn Designs Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Some of you, who have been following me a while, may remember that Avery got a Car seat Poncho for review 2 winter's ago. 

Now that Emerson's here and it's winter, I needed one for him this year too. I came across Jeni Lynn Designs and knew I wanted one of hers for Emerson!! We received a custom Car-N-Go in the Green Stripes with Solid Blue back

I love that she made the stripes diagonal too! It's so cute and fits Emerson great! At his age right now I want the poncho to cover his legs fully because I carry him out to the car. This works great. Luckily I know this poncho will fit him for years to come and as he gets bigger the poncho will fit him differently, but this poncho even fits 5 year old Avery, so I know we'll get at least a few years out of this one!! 

I love the little zipper in the front if it too. Once I get him in the car I unzip it and give him a little toy underneath the poncho so he can still play and entertain himself. 

Winter jackets aren't supposed to go in car seats. They require you to loosen the straps way too much and then if you get in an accident, the jacket compresses and baby gets ejected from the seat. Don't believe me? Put your child in their car seat with the jacket on. Get it 'tight' and then don't adjust the straps, take the jacket off and tell me how much room is between your child and the straps now? I've done this with Avery before and there was a good 3" of space there, plenty of room for child to get ejected and fly right through the vehicle. 

With a poncho the straps are right on top of baby's clothes and they go UNDER the poncho. You take the back of the poncho and put it over the back of the car seat and then do the straps under the poncho, baby is snug, but still plenty warm! 

I love my ponchos!
