All Things Baby Blog Bash Spotlight: Woombie & Review

I always swaddled Avery until she was close to 3 months old. But she would kick and flap and get it undone. It was a pain re wrapping her multiple times a day.
She had colic though and Acid Reflux and I know this Woombie would have been amazing!!

We received the Organic Woombie in Au' Naturale in the Newborn 5-13 pound size.
I think it looks like a little peanut!
Love the double zipper, makes for easy diaper changes!
Cross baby's arms in front and zip them up.
 Easy Changes!!!
I love this Woombie. It's so stretchy that it will fit until a couple months old. It allows some movement in there, but not enough to activate the startle reflex. And baby can't kick it off!! It's in place for good!

It's the perfect size for a newborn though. I've heard from others that it's a total godsend. I can't wait to find out for sure. If it is I'll probably buy more in the larger sizes.
This will definitely be put in the hospital bag and will be used immediately after birth for number 2!!

They come in 4 different sizes. Preemie, Newborn, Big Baby and Mega Baby. All the way from 3-25 pounds!! So you're all set!

There are also numerous styles to choose from. There's original (lots of color choice) Organic, Deluxe which has ruffles!! Summer which is thin. XL which is 1" wider for broad shoulders. and LOTS LOTS more!!!

Price: The Organic is $27.99 and the original $25.99 I hear it's completely worth every penny!

Overall: ***** I love the material and I'm sure it would work great.

All Things Baby Blog Bash
Woombie has offered one reader the chance to win an Organic Woombie in choice of Size and Color. There is the Naturale and Buttercup (a soft yellow)

Lime Ricki Review, Discount Code & Giveaway *CLOSED*

You might remember my review on Lime Ricki last year! I reviewed the beautiful Jennie Tankini Top and the Pink Bottom.

This time I wasn't sent anything for review, but I can tell you about the quality of the Lime Ricki Swimsuit and how it has held up. I did that review last May. It has been worn hundreds of times wince then. We have a hot tub so I wear suits all year long. Hot tub in winter is the BEST time. So this suit has held up to lots of wears and lots of washes. It still looks brand new and it has held up beautifully.

Sometimes suits get that prickly butt (for lack of a better term) when the bum gets caught on stuff well not this suit. I've worn this to my friend's pool and sat on the concrete walkway around the pool and it's been just fine! I'm so happy with it! I will probably purchase another Lime Ricki one day. Maybe I'll even purchase a Maternity suit for this summer if I'll need one.

Check out the new 2011 styles!!!

Lots to choose from!
And at great prices too.
Code HandA will give you 10% off through May 14th

Price: The girls one piece is $40. The tankini top is $24 and the bottoms are $17.50.
The Maternity suits are $46 for top and $26 for bottom. Women's One Piece $60 and Tankinis are about $40 and bottoms are $26 for Brief! AWESOME prices I think!

Overall: ***** It has held up great! I love it!

Chicken Soup: New Moms Review & Giveaway*CLOSED*

Avery was born May 9th 2007 (yes just over a week until she's 4!) And Mother's Day was May 13th 2007. Jon bought me the Chicken Soup for the Soul: New Moms Book! It was perfect timing and it was a great thoughtful gift from him.

I really enjoyed reading that book and it was awesome to read stories of other new mother's and go through what they were going through. I read this book in about a week (I was also in school and raising a newborn and a housewife! WHEW) So it took a little bit of time to read it. A few weeks later I would go "so this is what those moms were talking about" when something happened. I found myself always looking back in the book and reading the stories and how they coped with things.

It was truly inspriational.
Here's the copy I had first

I LOVE that this book came at a great time in my life. I had the 2007 edition with Avery and just a few days after getting this book found out I was expecting #2. So it came at a great time. I'll put it on a bookshelf and read it shortly before/after baby's born.

I haven't read through it at all, but I'm sure there's a bunch of new stories in there and whether you're a BRAND new mom or a New Mom for the third time, Everyone can get something out of this book.

You also might recognize the editor on there Susan M. Heim?!?! NO? She's a fellow blogger.  How awesome?? I know she reads my blog, hope she sees this shout out!

Price: You can find this book for $9.13 at Walmart or $10.17 at Amazon! It's cheap and Mother's day is coming up. It would be a great gift!!

Overall: *****

Seasons UV Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

I always try and protect Avery when we go out in the sun for a long period of tie. You always jump to sunscreen, but if they're swimming or sweating it needs to be reapplied. When I found UV protective clothing I was in heaven. You can get long sleeves or short and they protect your kids skin with no need for sunscreen.

We received a few things from Seasons UV for review. Avery got an adorable set and I got a shirt too!!

The shorts are HUGE on her. They probably won't fit until she's like 7-8! BUT I can pink them or we can just go without them for a while. Even the top is a bit big for a 4yY. But we love them just the same and the shirt is fully functional. The bottoms fall right down though!

I love my shirt. Got it in a Small and it fits me great! It's so cute too, perfect for walking at the zoo or going to the beach. It's a great coverup if you're at an outdoor pool too.
Did you know that the UPF of a cotton t-shirt is about a 5?? Would you consider putting SPF 5 on your children? NO, they need Protective Clothing.

Seasons UV clothes are an UPF 50.

Lots of others to choose from too. There's boys, girl and women's as well. They also have hats and Sunglasses

Price: The women's top is $48. The girls top was $28 and the hat is $19. They are reasonably priced. They'll last a long time and if you size them right you'll probably get 2 years out of the kids ones.

Overall: ***** Love them, can't wait for them to get some use!
Code SUNSMARTY will give you 20% off

*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from the company in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Seasons UV for allowing me to review this product and offering a giveaway

Tropical Traditions Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

That's right! Another item from the infamous Tropical Traditions. This time we received Coconut Peanut Butter.

I have to admit, this is one product we've received from Tropical Traditions that I'm not so happy with. The consistency is okay, but the taste isn't that great. I like my peanut butter to taste like you know... Peanuts. This tastes like coconut.
And the consistency is kind of hard to spread thanks for the coconut oil that hardens in cooler temps. We keep our house at 65-70, so it gets hard.

BUT Avery has been eating it. I stick to my homemade peanut butter, but she likes it!

They do come in glass jars though and it is healthier then regular peanut butter because of the coconut oil AND that the Oil and Peanuts are the only 2 ingredients. It's also organic. Other than that, I wasn't too happy!!

Price: 16oz jar is $9.99 down from $14.99 and the 26oz is $15.45 down from $24.35

Overall: *** for effort!! If someone likes coconut they would like this. We're just not a huge coconut family.

Dolce Baci Review & Giveaway

Boutique clothing is truly the best. It's handmade and took a lot of time. Usually made in the U.S. too!
So when I had a chance to review Dolce Baci clothing I was in heaven!

I couldn't choose between 3 sets for Avery. I was so torn between them. I told her the 3 I liked and told her to send whichever one she wanted.

We received the Chloe Tee and the matching Chloe Skirt.
It came wrapped so nicely!

How cute is she in this outfit?!?!? And she's ALL MINE!!!
I love it. I think it looks cute with those leggings on in cooler weather too.

The skirt was big (as usual) but we pinned it and now it fits. I think this is so adorable. The quality is great too. The skirt is sewn with 2 different fabrics. Then they cut out a flower and attached it to the shirt to make them match.

Super adorable!
These were the other 2 contenders

Super adorable! All of them

Dolce Baci has lots of other things to choose from. They have the tops, skirts, dresses, bottoms and even a women's section!!

Price: The Skirts are $42 and come in a 12-18 to a 6. The shirts change, but the one I got is $22 on sale right now down from $30. I think these are good prices.

Overall: ***** Great quality

Tea Collection Review

We get a new outfit from Tea Collection every season and I LOVE it!!!

I love their clothes. They come out with so many new cute ones each season and it's so hard to choose favorites.
I was sent the Cargo Gypsy Pants and the Scribble Dot Top for review.
Both in a size 4

Just a little bit big. The shirt falls off shoulder a bit and capris are a bit long.

But the capris fit in the waist and that's usually where we have issues. Avery's waist is only a 20" so pants are usually very big on her. I was pleased that these fit so well.

They are a bit long, but she'll wear them until September and I'm sure they'll fit much better then. She's worn this outfit twice already. We've had a couple nice 60-70 degree days and the weather has been perfect.

She got a compliment on the shirt. I think it's just adorable. Usually I choose pink/purple for Avery, this was so different and I just loved it!!

They just have adorable stuff!!

Price: The Scribble Dot Top is on sale for $29.50 from $39 and the Cargo Gypsy Pants are $35. I like these prices. I don't normally pay this for Avery's clothes, but it's good to have some good high quality items in the closet. And these are well worth the price!!

Overall: another ***** Nothing but the best for Tea!

Teamotions Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

I think Tea has become a part of my daily life lately. I can't have coffee, so sometimes a little tea with a little caffeine in it is just what I need. A little pick me up. And it tastes so good too! I'm always looking for new teas to try, so when I saw Teamotions I knew I had to contact them.

I can't do loose leaf tea as I don't have a permanent tea bag, so I got the 4 flavors they had in a Sachet. I received the Seek Peace in a Full Size Tin and the Discover Joy, Achieve Clarity and Enjoy Rest in 2 teabag sample Sizes.
I love them all for different reasons. When I'm feeling sleepy or need an extra something to get me to sleep the Enjoy Rest is perfect. I brew up one cup 30 minutes before going to bed. Sip it and finish it right before going to bed. I've discovered that I fall asleep faster when I drink this tea. Sadly my 2 bags of this one are gone already!

I'm glad I got the Seek Peace in the full size tin. I think it is my favorite. I'm not a coconut fan, but I love this tea. It's so tasty!! It restores your inner peace and encourages emotional release.

Achieve Clarity is supposed to clear and calm your mind. It does help me relax and think of the more important things. The Discover Joy is supposed to make you feel happier and uplifting. Haven't really discovered this really, but it's hard to tell with only 2 teabags to sample!!

All of their tea is supposed to have emotional support and I think that's great!! When you mix together certain flavors and scents it really does help! Like Chamomile in the Enjoy Rest. Other flavors in other teas.

They also have 2 more teas, which are now only in loose leaf. They are Have Hope which is to renew Hope and Optimism. It has White Tea and Strawberry and Ginger in it. And the Find Strength which is supposed to Regain Inner Strength and Self Confidence. It has Jasmine Green Tea and Passionfruit in it.

Price: Loose Leaf Tea which does 32 cups is $12.95. The Pyramids which there are 15 in a container is $12.95

Overall: *****

K'Nex Review

We've received a couple things from K'Nex for review in the past. But they now have a new fun toy out called the Roary the Racing Car. We received the Yellow one also known as Maxi.
Looks like a lot of little pieces, but it's not so bad.

Silly me. I put the extra black piece on the bottom of the car, but it really is extra to hold the flags!! hehe
It was SUPER easy for ME to do!! Then I let Avery at it. Told her to use the package to see how it was supposed to look. After about 15 minutes, she FINALLY figured it out!! Not too bad for a 4 yr old.

It has an adapter on it with wheels to make it universal to most tracks. So it could ride on a track if you have one. I think that's pretty awesome! And fun. How much would a little boy love this toy!!

Avery's been playing with it a lot. Now that it's put together she just leaves it together. Cars are her favorite to play with so this is a hit here at our house!!

Currently they are only available at Toys 'R Us and Toys 'R Us.com

K'Nex has LOTS of building toys for your children to put together and explore with.

Price: The cars are $12.99 each and are for ages 3+ so I don't think that's too bad. It's a good size car.
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from the company in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to K'Nex for allowing me to review this product

Rock N Learn Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

By now you definitely all know how much I love Rock N Learn. With all the DVD's we've received Avery has become a LOT smarter. She can count, knows a little about money. Knows her shapes and colors and I have Rock N Learn to thank for ALL of it!

This time around we received the Colors, Shapes & Counting DVD for review. Avery knew most of these already, but I got it to teach her the few she didn't know and to help reiterate the rest she did know. Repetition is very important at this age so this is great to have. I play it 2-3 times a week and it's keeping her smart!!
She loves it. She loves all her Rock N Learn DVD's equally. They all teach something different too which is fun and exciting for her.

These are really the only DVD's she watches. She loves them!! I love them because they're entertaining and not just crap on the t.v. screen! The only things she watches are Nick Jr., Sprout and Rock N Learn!! LOVE IT!!

There are lots to choose from on Rock N Learn's website. DVD's and CD's.

Price: The DVD's are $19.99 which is WELL worth it in my opinion.

Overall: another *****

Robyn Rhodes Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Want to get something else for the MOM in your life for Mother's Day? Something not as personalized as the giveaway yesterday? Look no further then Robyn Rhodes. We all know Jewelry is the way to a mom's heart, but sometimes personalized isn't the way to go.

Robyn Rhodes has beautiful mom necklaces that aren't personalized, so they're great for any mother in your life.
I received 2 of them for review. Both in Silver
I received the Mom and the Love. I chose the Sterling Silver, but they also have 14kt Gold as well.

Each one is beautiful crafted. They each come in a 16" chain and are fused to their chain so you won't have to keep rotating the pendant. I hate when the clasp ends up by the pendant. I like when these are permanently attached like that so there's no dealing with rotation.

They are gorgeous. I love the Heart in the O of MOM and the O of Love says mom on it!! Very nice touches. They speak to the mother too. They are beautiful and would be a wonderful gift for your wife, from your children to their mom, or to your own mother. Just something for any mother in your life. Beautiful.

Robyn Rhodes carries other beautiful pieces too. They have necklaces, bracelets and rings. Maternity jewelry as well.

Price: The Necklaces I reviewed are between $110 and $140. The MOM necklace is $110 for the Silver and $120 for the Gold and the LOVE is $130 for Silver and $140 for Gold

Overall: ***** Love these necklaces.

Laundry Tarts Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

I love good smelling detergent and laundry, but I'd rather use natural detergents. Think about it, if it leaves a smell on your clothes, it's leaving behind residue. Meaning it's not getting fully rinsed out. It only makes sense right?

So I contacted The Laundry Tarts. They sent me a full bag of the Birthday Cake scent to try!

I opened my mailbox that day and I couldn't believe it. I was blown away by the scent and the fact that they were willing to pay $25 for shipping from Canada!!!! Oh My Goodness, there has to be a cheaper way!
I guess I didn't get a picture!! I was very happy though, because laundry day here is on Saturday and I received mine on a Friday! I was super happy. If I got it on a Monday though I may have scrounged through the house trying to find a full load. It was that good and I couldn't wait to use it.

Finally laundry day came, a day I'm usually not looking forward too much. But this laundry day was different from the rest. Because I finally had a chance to use my Laundry Tarts detergent!!

When I opened my laundry room door I was baffled by the smell that took over me. The whole room smelled JUST like a birthday cake. I threw in a load of clothes and put in about 3tsp of detergent (calls for 2-4). The load came completely clean and still had a slight fragrance on it. As soon as I dried it though the smell went away, which means everything was rinsed  out AND still clean!!

I was very happy with this detergent. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and it's about half gone. So about 20 loads give or take. It says you'll get about 72/144 loads. So I should get 72 and I'll get around 45 tops... But I am honestly using 3tsp, so maybe they're calculations are wrong. I'm not sure.

Either way I'm super happy with it!!

There are 27 scents to choose from so you'll have new detergent scents for like 3 years of laundry!!

Price: The Full Bag is $20!

Overall: **** LOVE this detergent, but I'm afraid there's some miscalculations somewhere.

GIVEAWAY

JC Jewelry Design Review & Giveaway *CLOSED*

Are you thinking and wondering about what to get the Mom in your life for Mother's Day? It is coming up you know. Just a smidge over 2 weeks away!!

Well I have the Solution. JC Jewelry Design is it. I received a very beautiful Necklace in the mail for review! It was here VERY fast (think like 4 days) and I'm just in love with it.
It was the Love You To The Moon and Back Silver Necklace with a Heart Charm.

So much more beautiful in Person. I love this necklace! I got the 18" cable chain. I usually go for a 16" but with Summer coming up It's nice to have something a little longer for the lower cut tops!!

I have gotten compliments on this necklace already. When it lays down the heart covers the words, but it compliments it nicely, Although I think a Star would be cute too!! Or a moon even. But it's adorable and I just adore it.

JC Jewelry Design has lots to choose from and they have more personal things too. I already have quite a few necklaces with Avery's name on them so I asked for this one. And we were trying for another baby at that time, so it would be weird to just get something with Avery's name on it.

But look at all these other options!

Beautiful things!!

Price: VERY reasonable! In order from the 4 pictures above. $40, $49, $79 and $69. There is also LOTS more to choose from! The necklace I received is $39.

Overall: ***** The quality is really nice!

All Things Baby Blog Bash Spotlight: Agoo & Review

I have reviewed many things for Agoo in the past. My first experience with Agoo is when I won a pair of Leg Warmers when I had just started entering giveaways. They were the softest I'd ever felt (thanks to Bamboo) and I fell in love!!

When Bob contacted me again about the new spring line I jumped at the chance!! These are so cute on Avery on a chilly day with shorts/skirt and a pair of sandals. All their leggings add so much to an outfit!!
We received the Very Springy ones called Very Baby and I just love them.

I love these!! We now have 4 pair of Agoo warmers. I also have the Ebony Top which we LOVE and a Jacket which should fit her this Fall/next Spring.

We love our Agoo clothes. I love their quality. The warmers are made out of bamboo so they are SUPER soft. And the clothes are just high quality material and last forever! Avery's had that Ebony Top for almost 2 years now and it still fits her and still looks brand new despite wearing it 30+ times a season!

Agoo has so many things to choose from for both boys and girls. They have for Babies and Toddlers/Kids. Pants, shirts, leg warmers, jackets and their new(ish) Tushies

Price: The Warmers are just $12. Which is AWESOME for Bamboo, you pay that same price for cotton ones!

Overall: ***** Love Agoo and I will NEVER be disappointed with them!

All Things Baby Blog Bash Spotlight: Pickled Lily & Review

I love finding cute baby clothes that are unique. Things you won't find 5 other  kids wearing at the park. I love unique items for children and myself.
I found Pickled Lily and fell in love with their items. They have lots to choose from.

I received the Eliot S/S Onesie for review and I just love it!!
Obviously, I can't use it yet, but now that I'm expecting I can't wait to put this on my new little one. It's listed under boy, but I think it's fairly unisex.

It'sa 0-3 month. The material of the onesie is thick. It's not just your average Gerber onesie. It's super thick so I know it will last a while.

Since I'm having a December baby, how cute would this onesie be with a Mama Knit Sweater over it?? Super adorable!!!

There is so much to choose from on Pickled Lily. They have Maternity, Boys and girls clothing.

Super cute things!!

Price: The Onesies are $15 each, which I don't think it bad. And they're perfect for a Baby Shower gift.

Overall: ***** High Quality, Well made, CHEAP!
