I received Both styles of Hem Gems the classic and the pyramid to try.
Pyramid are in the denim bag that was included. They both came packaged in that same type of box.
I tried the Pyramid ones with a pair of pants that I haven't worn yet because the inseam is WAY too long. They are really flared and because of that I didn't care for the hem gems. I had to tuck in about 5" of pant (yes that long) and because of the wide flair when I walked it twisted around and felt really heavy. If I were to try these with a bootcut or a slimmer style I don't think I would have a problem at all, but with that style pant there were definitely issues.
However these will be good with my slim styles and some flats. I do like this feature so you can take the same pair of pants and shorten them for a flat, but lengthen them again for your heels. You can't do that in any other pair of professionally hemmed pants! So I do like the versatility of them.
Price: They come in Gold and Silver and are $20 for an 8 pack. I think this is reasonable.
Overall: **** They don't work as well on a flare, they are heavy, but maybe it's because I had to 'hem' up so much.
*Disclaimer* I received these products directly from the Company for Review. I was not paid to try out these products*
I learned that I absolutley need this :) and that it prevents your jeans from fraying!!

You have no idea how bad we need these! I have the hem issue with all of my daughter's jeans and hate that frayed bottom - ugh! I saw a really cheapo version of this on TV today and knew that was not what I wanted. I watched the video and learned how they fasten on the back - I was curious mostly about what the backing looked like. Thanks!! traumajnke at aol dot com
ReplyDeleteI learned that these will make it easier for my pants not to fray, I am only 5"2' tall so this would be a great product for me!
