The Skydeck Chicago Review & Giveaway

I received complimentary tickets in order to facilitate this review.
Skydeck Chicago Review
Standing at 1,353 feet the Willis Tower in Chicago is one of the tallest buildings in the U.S. They added the Skydeck ledge just a few years after the Willis Tower was constructed.

The Skydeck is an amazing observation floor. With a 360° observation area of all of downtown Chicago and beyond. But the LEDGE is what really sets this building apart from others.

There are 4 glass boxes on the 103rd floor and they extend 4.3 feet out from the building. Each box weighs 7500 pounds and is comprised of three layers of 1/2" thick glass laminated into one seamless unit. These boxes are VERY sturdy and one need not worry about falling.

Possibly my favorite picture every taken. The way Lake Michigan meets the skyline and the view of part of the city. Just gorgeous!

I assure you that first step onto the ledge is the scariest (actually, it may even be the elevator ride up, it goes really fast (all 103 floors in less than a minute) and your ears will pop). But once you're on the ledge, it's amazing and an experience of a lifetime.

Here you can see the ledge from different angles and closer up. It is definitely high in the air, but totally a thrill.

This was my 2nd time doing the Ledge, but I had a friend with me afraid of heights and so I knew I had to get her to do this too. She was okay (ish) until she looked down. This photo sequence portrays that.

If you are visiting Chicago any time soon, I highly recommend the Willis Tower and the Skydeck Ledge. I also HIGHLY recommend the Fast Pass or Will Call to expedite the process (when we got there, the regular line was a 2 hour wait, will call was about 30 minutes).

Price: Adult (12 and up) is $23 and $15 for ages 3-11. Fast Pass is $49. Children under 3 are always free.

Overall: ***** It's an awesome and thrilling experience!
1 Lucky Winner is going to win 4 Skydeck Ledge passes!

*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Skydeck in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Skydeck for allowing me to review this product and for offering a giveaway

We live an hour west of Chicago. The Chicago skyline is so beautiful. Haven't done the ledge yet but have been to the top of Willis (always will be Sears to us) Tower.

I live 30 mins outside of Chicago in the suburbs, so I'm in Chicago almost every weekend. I've had a lot of friends that have visited the Skydeck and loved it but I haven't been yet. Brittney House
