Dirty Dunk Review

I received an item from The Dunk Collection for the sole purpose of this review

My Assistant Blogger, Stacy, had the chance of reviewing this Dirty Dunk! This is her Review!

The Dirty Dunk has completely changed the way my kids clean their rooms. Because of the way my doors open and close I chose to mount the Dirty Dunk on the outside of the Kids Bathroom. You need to make sure you put it on a door in way that you will not be hitting a wall with the hoop. I like that the Dirty Dunk doesn't require screwing into the wall or door, and it hasn't scuffed my door! I empty the Dirty Dunk every night into a regular hamper so extra weight isn't on the hoop all night every night.

Day 1. The kids are super excited because they have been begging for one. I am really hoping this can make a difference with my 8 year old son, he leaves his shirt and socks strewn across the house EVERY SINGLE DAY. Once I got the hoop installed (I use this word loosely, it just hooks over your door with two metal "hooks" that are lined to protect your door). My 5 year old instantly took all the folded clean laundry that I had given my 8 year old to put away, and tossed it in the hoop. I wasn't sure if I should be impressed that she got it all in, or upset I had to refold all his clothes. My 8 year old still managed to leave his dirty clothes in his room & the girls room…maybe tomorrow.

Day 2. Today the kids' rooms are much cleaner than usual, their PJ's and undergarments from the day before made it safely into the hoop after just one reminder to my 8 year old son. No reminder was needed for my 5 & 10 year old girls. I did need to remind my 2 year old son it was not a plaything, he was putting toys in it though the net. My 8 year old also was using it as a basketball hoop with a small ball, and I had to ask him to stop 5,456 times.

Day 3. Laundry day! Today was the first day I didn't need to go hunt under beds to look for various clothing. Their rooms were clean of dirty clothes! I was able to wash all their laundry with out hassle. Of course by the time I was done with their laundry there were a couple more outfits in the Dirty Dunk from after lunch shenanigans.

By day 4 my life is much easier. My 8 year old still leaves his socks all over the house, but for the most part I am no longer nagging for my kids to get the dirty clothes off their floor and into the laundry basket. My 13 year old came home from a visit to his Grandma and was quite impressed with it, but I told him just to put his duffle bag of clothes in the laundry basket because we didn't need to fill it to the top.

It's now been a few weeks of daily use of the Dirty Dunk the hoop has acquired a downward slant, I am hoping my husband can bend it back for me. As I write this my 8 year old's shirt it right outside my bedroom door..so some kids are just a lost cause! All my other kids use it quite religiously, and it really has made a huge difference in my stress levels on laundry day. 5 kids to wash for is no joke, and I am so glad this makes my life easier while being quite fun for the kids! I would love a mini version of this for my 2 year old because he is so jealous, so might just have to get him a little hoop with a ball

Later Stacy found some slight damage, but a little putty and paint would fix that right up

Price: $34.99 for the Dirty Dunk

Overall **** and a 1/2 out of 5!
