Stress and PMS tend to round out the top two, but there’s a good chance that neither of those are the culprit. Instead, if you don’t have enough carbohydrates in your diet, then you won’t have enough serotonin in your body, which is what you need to regulate your mood. Most people should consume at least 50 grams of carbs on a daily basis. Doing so will have a positive impact on your serotonin levels, which will also have a positive impact on your mood.

Headaches are a nuisance, but we tend to take some ibuprofen and forget about them until they come back. While some people associate headaches with stress, intense lighting, allergies, or a variety of other things, it could just be your diet that’s contributing to your head’s pain and suffering. There are certain foods that cause headaches because they allow the blood vessels in the brain to swell, which can put pressure on your head and cause pain. Some of these foods include chocolate, nuts, caffeinated beverages, cheese, and deli meats. If you eat these foods on a regularly basis, and if you constantly struggle with headaches, this could be the reason. Try avoiding these foods for a while and see how your head feels. If you haven’t touched these items and you feel fine, you may have found your trigger.

There’s a correlation between what you eat and how it will affect your stomach and your digestive system. If you are regularly constipated, or if you regularly suffer from diarrhea, it’s possible that you need to change your diet. Fiber is what plays an important role in your digestive health. No matter if it’s diarrhea or constipation, fiber can help. Insoluble fibers like oats can help with constipation, while soluble fiber like blueberries can help with diarrhea. Eating a diet that contains both soluble and insoluble fibers is important for a healthy digestive tract.
