Merle & Velma Review

I received a sample from Merle & Velma for the sole purpose of this review
Being that Liam is my last baby, I wanted to get something really personal for him that told his story. Conveniently shortly after his birth Merle & Velma contacted me about doing a review on their wonderful blankets. I of course said yes and we decided on the Jaxon Birth Story Blanket

I love this blanket so much, although it's a bit small to use to cover him up, it will look great as an heirloom hanging in his room for years to come! I'm not really attached to much of my kids, I don't keep things at all. But this is one that will be kept until he's an adult. It's so personal and I can't fathom throwing it away in a few years at all.

The blanket is 2 layers of cotton t-shirt material, so to me it's pretty basic. But the design is just so gorgeous. It's screenprinted right into the fabric and the design is on both sides of the blanket. It makes for gorgeous photo props. Screenprinted also means it won't crack in the wash. Although it may fade a bit from wash wear, it will continue to look just as nice.

They are made with 100% organic cotton, and made right here in the US which I love!

They also make Name blankets
as well as name AND birth story onesies
and they make some cute pillows too

Price: $129.99 which I think (personally) that it's a bit overpriced. I think half that should be the cost. This blanket is a bit thin and it's just t-shirt material, even though organic!

Overall: **** the price is high, but the quality is good.
*Disclaimer* I received an item directly from Merle & Velma in exchange for a review. I was not paid to try out these products*
A big thank you goes out to Merle & Velma for allowing me to review this product
