Day #49, If I was President for a day, One law I would change
If I was president for one day there would be 2 laws that I would change first and foremost.
Abortion would be illegal in all 50 states EXCEPT in case of rape, the rape would need to be reported and DNA samples taken before the abortion to take place.
And Circumcision would be illegal in all 50 states EXCEPT in cases of emergency (cancer, gangrene etc)

My son is uncircumcised and you should hear my 14 year old daughter go off on how horrid it is for boys to be circumcised. It is as if we have cultural brainwashing about this!
After all, if countries to female circumcision (I am wholeheartedly opposed) we call them barbarians.
Leave the foreskins intact!

You picked an uncommon topic regarding the circumcision. I'd like to know why you think it should be illegal. Now, I did not have my son circumcised, and I worried about him being seen as different by the other boys. It all worked out. Jews have a Biblical covenant to circumcise the male babies. How would you deal with that? Just curious.

Just as Jewish boys have to be circumcised, Muslim boys do as well. This is probably the only post I've come across from this blog that sort of bothers me. But as others have said it's a free country and you can do as you will and say as you please. I think it's a bit unfair to take something that many people do according their religion and making it 'illegal' I know it's all hypothetical but for some reason it irked me. I SOOOO don't want to cause drama though... just saying what I feel =)
