Summer #BlogChallenge Day 40

Going Green with the Grizls
Day #40, What is the hardest challenge you've been faced with

I got pregnant with Avery at 16 and I dropped out of school. I had too many missed days and I probably wasn't going to be able to advance to the next grade anyway. So I dropped out and started an online program (the same day actually). It was HARD, VERY HARD. In the beginning it was easy. It was some stuff I'd already done, but then stuff got harder and Avery got more mobile. And I wasn't able to finish. My biggest challenge yet has been finishing high school.

I regret not getting my GED immediately after I dropped out. Everyone told me to try for my diploma, so I tried, but I lost the battle. I dropped out 2.5 months into my 11th grade. I should've just taken the test, finished and gone straight to college. I have to see stuff in order to do it. Online just wasn't for me. I couldn't been done with college about 2 years ago now if I would've gone this route! I'm so mad I took everyone's advice and didn't just get the GED.

I'm going to be getting it this year. I have to take a prep course and then take the test. I have 4 years of school paid for as long as I start by the time I'm 28. So thankfully my Bachelor's is paid for!

Good for you! It's never too late to go to school.

What a great goal to have! To have four years of college paid for is wonderful! What a blessing to not have to pay for college debt for years once you graduate.

You'll do great! I took the ged when I was a junior, without a prep course and passed (I was a D student). Though I'm pleased to say when I went to college I quickly became an A student... makes a big difference when it's more on your terms.

You go for it! I know you regret your choices now, but let them be a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

Wow!! I hope you're able to accomplish this goal. My goal is to complete my BSN-only two more classes. :) Keep us posted.
