Along with eating healthier comes healthier choices in general. Sometimes it's hard to find healthy meals if you're not making them from scratch. Dr. Praeger's makes that easier. They have a lot of healthier options from meals to sides. Fish to meatless chicken!
We received a coupon for a free product. My local store didn't carry it, so I had to wait a week or so until I was in the next town over that carried it.
I chose the Buffalo Chickenless Nuggets. It was all my store had!
I slightly burnt them! OOPS
Even though they were slightly burnt, they were very good. The buffalo was just right.
I guess I have a thing for chicken I love nuggets and I LOVE wings. So these were right up my alley. It was nuggets that tasted like buffalo wings. I really couldn't go wrong. And I didn't!! Very good.
All of their items are very healthy.
Here's the ingredient list for these nuggets.
Ingredients: Filtered Water, Textured Wheat Protein (Wheat Gluten, Wheat Starch, Phosphate, Soybean Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Antioxidants), Breading (Unbleached Wheat Flour, Corn Starch, Yellow Corn Flour, Salt, Yeast, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Spices, Dextrose), Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Hot Sauce (Aged Cayenne Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Salt), Onions, Textured Soy Protein (Soy Protein Concentrate, Caramel Color), Vegetarian Natural Chicken Flavor (Yeast Extract, Maltodextrin, Salt, Cornstarch, Natural Flavoring, Onion Powder, Lactic Acid, Sugar), Rice Starch, Egg Whites, Garlic, Wheat Fiber Salt, White Pepper.
They were very easy to cook. Just put on a cookie sheet or baking pan and broil 8-10 minutes on each side. Um... Mine took like 4 on each side and they ended up burning. So just watch the oven. Other than that very yummy. I would rather probably bake them for 20 minutes or so just turning once and next time I will do that.
There will definitely be a next time. I will buy these again and hopefully my store gets other items in, because I'd love to try them too.
They carry other things like Potato Bites, Burrito Bites, Potato Crusted Fish Sticks, Gluten Free California Veggie Burgers, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Broccoli Pancakes, Pizza Bagels and a LOT more!
Price: I don't exactly remember, but I think they were $5.99
