With Avery I had never tried Fuzzibunz diapers. I'm not sure why, I just never did.
With Emerson my FAVORITE Newborn Diaper was the Perfect Size in an XS. Then he grew out of those and we started using the size Small and also the One Size diaper, which fit great from even 8 pounds. It truly is a one size diaper.
I contacted Fuzzibunz and they offered to let me review the Elite diaper in the Kumquat color!
Extra elastic is included
Small and Large Minky inserts!
Inside is fleece
Big pocket opening
The legs and waist adjust with elastic and a button
As small as it goes
On Emerson. It's a great fit!
I've already had to loosen up this diaper once as he's so chubby!
The differences between the original OS and the new Elite are these: Minky Inserts first of all. They are so soft and so amazing. What's great about them is you don't even need to stuff them inside the pocket. You can just lay them in the diaper. Secondly the leg elastic is contained inside the pocket now. It never used to be!
Overall it's an amazing diaper. I seriously want to buy more of those minky inserts!! Microfiber stinks (literally) it contains and holds in odors and it's just nasty to work with. Minky has the same absorbency and doesn't get stinky like microfiber!!
The diaper washes great, dries great and the inserts dry really fast. Much faster than even my microfiber inserts dry. It has a great fit which is customizable. The best part is each leg can adjust differently so if your baby has a leg that's chunkier, this is easy to adjust it to that. AND the waist adjusts separately.
The great thing is there's no rise snaps so it's not as bulky with a lot of extra material. And there are more settings size wise for your baby.
The hip snaps are amazing too. It allows you to make the waist tighter than the thighs for the perfect fit!
Right now in our rotation we have 2 Fuzzibunz size Smalls in Watermelon and Blueberry and 2 OS diapers a Buttercream Original OS and the Kumquat Elite OS. I also have an Apple Green size small on the way!
They are great diapers and I would truly recommend them to anyone!
Price: Both the Original OS and the Elite OS are $19.99 each!
