I don't know if you guys know this, but we don't buy red meat any more. We will eat it if we go out, but we rarely buy it. Once in a while I'll get a pork roast, or some pork chops and about once a year a couple steaks, but that's it! We buy ground turkey typically. 

I knew I had to try Laura's Lean Beef though when I came across it. It's very lean, but there's no added hormones or antibiotics and the cows are vegetarian fed! So this is healthy red meat. 

I was sent $25 in vouchers to spend (5 certificates for $5 each)

This is all my store had. CLEARANCE!!! They had 1 burger patty pack (4 patties) And then I got 4 pounds of ground beef. They were all less than $5, so they adjusted the coupons.

We first tried the patties. I slapped them on the George Foreman and they were so good. They cooked fast, kept their shape and tasted very yummy!

Then it was the ground beef. I threw all these in the freezer (except one) because they were about the expire. But I made a Hamburger and Potato Casserole with the meat and it was very good. The meat cooked fast but was still easy to break up. 

Yesterday I thawed out a pound and we had Pizza Casserole. Again, cooked fast and tasted good. 

So we still have 2 pounds left, but the meat has been very good. At this point we actually prefer the taste of turkey to beef, but this beef just tasted different... Hard to explain. It has a more natural taste to it I guess.

Although it is much more expensive!

Price: Typically $6.29 a pound!! I pay $6.99 for my 3lb log of Turkey. So it is a bit much. Even at the discounted price of $4.40 a pound. But it's worth it for the health.
