One of my favorite categories!! Pure, Natural, Organic Skincare! I love it. This time I received something a bit different as I'm pregnant...
I received the Belly Butter from Gaia. And I love it.
It smells so good. It's natural and made with essential oils so it's great for you too.
I've been rubbing it on my belly 1-2 times a day every day since I got it and I adore it. I also rub it on my breasts once in a while too. It's also meant for the hips and butt and anywhere you think you might get stretchmarks.
It improves the elasticity of your skin which prevents you from getting stretchmarks. I was lucky with Avery and only got 1 on my belly. I got a ton on my butt though and a few on my breasts, but 1 on my belly. I was very thankful. So far no new ones here, but I know they're probably coming. I'm almost as big now as I was when I was done with Avery, so I know in the next 19 weeks I will definitely be getting a few. I'm hoping this butter helps to keep them at bay.
Since I started using this right around 16 weeks I'm hoping I have enough usage first before they start popping up so it helps keep them away better than if I started at 25 weeks when I first started seeing them (for example). I feel like those few extra weeks did more help than harm!
Some of the ingredients inside.
- Certified Organic Wheat Germ Oil
- Certified Organic Shea Butter
- Pure Cocoa Butter
- Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
- Certified Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Extract
- Natural Vitamin E
Sounds good to me! Lots of good in it, that's for sure.
I know Vitamin E is great for stretchmarks and stretching skin, so I'm glad this has it in there.
So far I have been super happy with this tube of butter and It's going to last WELL after my pregnancy too. I've been using it for 5 weeks now and hardly any is gone. 1 small squirt does my entire belly (for right now) so it will last a long time.
Lots of other things at Gaia. They have baby products, Face moisturizers, cleansers, body washes and more!
Price: for 150ml of this butter it's $17.95, SO WORTH IT!!
