Jon and I finally joined Lifetime Fitness for yet a second year... We joined last year and after a few months dropped it, we just stopped going.
This time we're making more of an effort (well I am). Great thing about Lifetime is Avery is just $6 a month and that is for up to 2 hours of Daycare a day 7 days a week!! So it's great just to go and get a break. I can work out, or swim, or get a haircut and a massage! Whatever. I can get some time and get a break!!
Sunday will have made 2 weeks since we've joined and Jon hasn't been yet. I've been once!! Terrible I know. But I've been low on gas.
But I have been running around the community more and I started Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred again and I'm also doing the Lindsay Brin Shed 5 Fast DVD that I reviewed a while back. I love the Shed 5 Fast better. It doesn't take my breath away and the movements are fairly easy for me, BUT OH MY GOODNESS did it kick my butt.
I did BOTH of them back to back yesterday for a GREAT 1 hour workout. I can't even move today!
I went on a short .57 mile run tonight to limber up my muscles and make them feel better, but I really can't move right now. MY LUNGS hurt!! SERIOUSLY!!
MY right shoulder always hurts when I run, right where the neck, back and arm all meet. That's where I get a sharp shooting pain EVERY TIME I run, since track in H.S. I get this. It sucks!! I've learned that my running form is probably off, or that I'm really stiff while I run, so I'm going to pay more attention to the detail next time I run.
I've ran 4 times in these 2 weeks (not as much as I'd like) but we've had some really cold days. I don't like to run when it's too hot and not when it's too cold. I ran tonight and it was about 50 when I ran and it was PERFECT. It's easier to run when you're breathing in cool air.
I love running!! Always have.
We also went to Costco and bought some Whey Protein powder. I drink one after every workout. Jon has been using them as meal replacements for both Breakfast and Lunch so he only eats dinner. With his soymilk it's 400 calories for BF and 400 calories for Lunch so that allows him a 1200 calorie dinner (not happening) so hopefully he starts losing some weight.

I work out usually with the WiiFit Plus, doing my strength and yoga then some aerobics. then I try to find time to do my aerobics DVD. I was using the Biggest Loser Workout on DVD, but we had it from Netflix and had to return it. Even the low intensity was a bit much for me.
