A Simple Switch is a website owned by Philips and they are trying to make a greener planet. We all know Philips has come out with the more green CFL bulbs and they are trying other ways as well. A Simple Switch online has a test you can take to change the color of your energy.
Out of colors A-G, A being Green and G being Red. I was very happy to see that the U.S. as a whole is a color C. We're green, just not VERY green, it's a light green.
I took this test and I was a C. Not the best, but I was very happy with these results. I have CFL bulbs all throughout my house, we try and conserve water as much as possible, we turn off lights and unplug appliances. I recycle some paper, aluminum cans and plastic bottles and glass bottles. We try and do what we can where we can and although it's not much, it does make a difference. Avery and I both use cloth, her in diapers and myself in cloth pads. We try and make a difference. Apparently it's paid off.
They also have a Facebook page that is there to help you find your way to a greener life!
Along with this new website Philips has asked a lot of bloggers to get together on Fridays and post a green giveaway!

I "liked" the Simple Switch facebook page (as Gaye McGill) and took the quiz. Although it spent a long time "Calculating the Color of (my) Energy", it never did give me an answer. I'll have to try that again later. I'm looking forward to receiving their newsletter.
