Our New Playroom

We've been keeping ourselves busy with projects around the house this summer that's for sure. You all know about the landscaping and the front porch. But we've also redone our bathroom counters, new fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchen. New toilet in the spare bathroom. New light fixtures in dining room and both bathrooms. We've been super busy.

Now we've turned the office/3rd bedroom into a playroom! Now that Jon is done with college we have taken the desk out of there, put it into our bedroom and have turned it into a playroom. I'm so happy to show this off. It's a huge accomplishment for us we've been meaning to do it for a long time. Jon had this paint color picked out for his office. We had the room half painted for MONTHS. Since it was already painted we just finished it off this color.

Now this isn't JUST a playroom. It's a t.v. watching room, Game playing room, and playroom. It's a little cramped up in there. It's only a 10X8 room. But we made do!
This is looking in from the door. We are getting crown molding at the top and around the window. So excuse the paint line!
Recliner was $25 on Craigslist!! YAY!!!!
I know that corner is nasty.

Ok so we had Avery's toychest in here for a while, It was holding the t.v. and some of the equipment, but it was just SO BIG. My dad built it custom size so it's HUGE. We WILL be getting a T.V. stand there for tall the equipment. Which will hide all those cables. YIKES. It will hopefully also hold all the exercise equipment as well.

So that's our playroom so far. Jon wants to put up our concert pictures (signed) and I want to put up a vinyl or 2 relating to playroom... Other than that, We finally have a nice place to hang pictures. Regular pictures too!!! YAY!

I love rearranging rooms! It's hard work, but it's so nice when you're done and you actually have room to do what you want! I'm trying to work up the motivation to move my son into his own room...
